Golfer Reviews
Great tume
This course is in good shape right now. The greens are healthy and fast. It’s dry and you do get a lot of run off the fairways The only drawback are the traps. They are like concrete. In desperate need of new sand.
Absolute garbage
Anyone who gives this course more than a couple stars is not an avid golfer, or they have not played this course more than a couple times. This place absolutely sucks now. They book tee times every 7-8 mins. This is the slowest place in the county to to play. My last round was 5 hours. Staff does nothing to push pace of play. Current conditions right now are junk fairways tee to green. The greens have always been a joke. They are so slow it’s not even fun. They are uneven and pitch marks are every where. The bunkers have next to no sand at all. Their is nothing here anymore that’s makes me want to play this course again. I won’t even practice there anymore. The driving is a complete disaster. There is no grass anywhere and they are putting in zero effort to fix it. But yet they just raised their prices again. I don’t even know how they could possibly justify the price hike and still sell buckets of junk cheap range balls out of a machine that barely works! Bottom line is there are way better places to play golf in Kern county. This place just takes your money and gives you the middle finger. They are lazy and incompetent at running the facility. Fire everyone and start over please
A nice little jewel
Enjoyed a quick afternoon round, with nice temps for wintertime. Fairways were a little rough, but greens and bunkers were in great shape for this time of year.
I only played 11 holes the weather was 40 degrees and I could not stand the cold. the course is wonderful and Iam planing to play it again soon.
Great Value
This course is awesome for the money. One of the best public courses in Bakersfield. Only complaint is the pace of play can be slow at times.
Course needs attention
Course is showing winter wear. Greens need players to repair divots, and tee to green ... Fairways need some attention.
Great course, great value
Played early Sunday morning as a single. 2 groups let me play through and I finished in 3 hours 20 minutes. Staff was friendly and course was in great shape.
Nice course
Great day, nice course in good shape, 3and a half hour round
Perfect day, perfect course
The only thing that could have been better is my gold swing.
Play this course often, usually always great. Worth the money
Worst round ever !
First this course was promising with reviews and I was excited to play this round. The over maintenance of the course was trash the greens were punched and they were super slow And uneven. Greens in general were garbage not what I was expecting for a 4 Starr over all review that I have read. Every green was over grown and not cut. The poor maintenance of the course and the garbage customer service when it was brought to the attention of course staff was unacceptable and I would not recommend this course for the foreseeable future !
Overall spend your money elsewhere and not here in this garbage 18 !!
Pace of play was very slow.
We do not have many good places to play around the Central Valley that is open to the public. This course was $42 to play with sub par greens and playing behind a 3 some that was terribly slow. We were waiting 7-10 min before each tee shot. There was a group a head of them but no way should we have been waiting that long to hit. The group a head was at least 2-3 shots ahead of them. Lastly, the course had 3 areas to fill up water and only the first one had water. It was a 9 a.m. tee time and by noon they were empty. Word to the wise, it gets hot in the Central Valley and offering golfers water is a plus.
