The Club at Pine Forest

I've played this course regularly over the last 15 years. I have always found the course challenging as I am a 20 handicap. The fairways are ample even if you are not the straightest hitter. The water does come into play on most of the holes but if you control your game, the water is easily avoidable. On several of the holes, I mishit, thinking I was in trouble, only to find out that I was not in a bad position with a decent follow up shot. The greens are the real challenge on this course. There are many multi-tiered greens and the key to scoring is where you position yourself on the green relative to the flag. It doesn't take a lot of course knowledge, you just need to think about where you need to be. My round was mostly pars and bogeys with birdies and doubles sprinkled in. The course condition was great, except due to the lack of rain, the track was hard. Really enjoyed the round.

I play here on a regular basis but had not been here in five months. Earlier in the year the greens were in horrible condition. Now the greens are green. They are slow but roll nice.

I'm normally in the mid 80s, but not at Pine Forest. Super tough track with a LOT of water and trouble. I'm ready to go back for some much needed redemption. For the price, I don't think you can do much better in the low country!

Greens were running a tad slow....but true and fair. Fairways were is good shape. This track is always a difficult test...but extremely fair.

Unfortunately I lost money from booking fees. Thunderstorm started at the time of my tee off time. Could not play round.

I have not played a course this year yet in the Charleston area that did not have a beverage cart and drinking water on only a few holes. Some of the water that was available was warm and not very refreshing in 95 degree weather. Sandwiches in the bar were stale and old. Some greens were under repair and bushy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Pine Forest. I was visiting the area for the weekend and found this place online and I was impressed. The course is challenging and has wonderful scenery as it surround by beautiful homes. The course was in great shape. You have to stay in the fairway as the rough is high as you can have a hard time finding you ball if you're not in the fairway. Greens were in excellent shape. I was paired up with some guys and we had fun! I wouldn't hesitate to play there again11

I have played here a bunch of times...its a touch course. All greens are elevated so going for the par 5's in 2 is a big risk reward. It is a very fair layout. Greens were a tad slow (punched 10 days ago) but they are coming back nicely. Plenty of tvs in bar for sports watching afterwards. Good place to pl;ay if you are in the area.

Great experience. Fairway just tight enough for reward and punishment.

I used GolfNow to buy the green fees. It was not easy to get the tee time that was listed. When I got to the course the person was to charge me tax on top of the 30.40 fee listed on my confirmation. I said no and she called Golf Now with all of waiting to play golf.
The women's tee were uneven with long grass. Many of the fairways were soggy and many of the greens were bumpy.

Yesterday was my first time playing this course. It provides a different layout than what I'm typically used to playing.

Quite a few greens are uphill, both water hazards and sand traps surround certain greens, and holes are designed with a more advanced player in mind.

I really enjoyed the track and the price was great!

I look forward to getting to play here again!!

First time playing this course. There is A LOT of water in play. Not a particularly challenging course but having never played it before an not knowing exactly where the water was made it difficult. Some of the greens were banged up but overall it was a nice course. Will try and check it out again next time I'm in Charleston.

The fairways were good and the holes challenging. Some greens need some work. If the greens improve I'll be back! The price was very fair for 18 with a cart.

Love playing here. The greens were rough but still a great time! The cart path is getting rough but that shouldn't change your opinion about this course!

The course is well-maintained and was in excellent condition. That being said, a couple of things that can definitely be improved are the cart paths and the score card. Anything over a slow walk on the cart paths, and you're in for a very bumpy ride. To say the cart paths need to be repaired/repaved would be an understatement. The scorecards need to be printed with some diagram or illustration of the individual holes. It's great that the holes have names, but that doesn't help someone playing the course for the first time without a GPS or a sky caddy. Recommend either GPS 's on the carts or spend a few dollars more on the score cards. Luckily, I had played the course before and could advise my playing partner . Other than that, I would definitely play the course again, especially if they hire a beverage cart girl for the weekdays.

Plan on 5 hour plus round. No ranger. Manager conceeded pace would be slow and did very little to improve pace of play. The course allowed 5 somes. Otherwise, this could be a good course to play.

Great course with some challenging greens. Really fun to play with varied distance from five tees. Ladies get a nice advantage so they can enjoy the course. Will definitely play again. Very pleasing to the eye. You will want to play this one again and again.

First time playing, but very nice course. Water in play on almost every hole. Had punched the greens in the previous week or two, so they weren't fantastic, but overall the course was in good shape. Will play again.
