Beacon Ridge Golf & Country Club

Clubhouse surroundings make it look abandoned. Mr. Cook at check-in is extremely pleasant and helpful.

Entire course seems neglected and in need of fertilizer for what is not growing and a mower for what is growing.

The layout is nice and very challenging. Conditions. Hold be improved, fairways and tee boxes are pretty bare. Greens are decent. Not crowed, but a couple groups playing like snails, one waved me thru and the other just keep plugging along, I finally drove around them and went to the next hole. Wish people would just have the courtesy to let you pass if they are going to play that slow. I played 5 holes to their 2 after I passed, and I wasn’t playing fast by any means.

Lots of elevation changes. Nice layout tee to green. Cart paths, like most sandhills courses, in poor condition. Offers a variety of challenges. Important to play from the appropriate tees. When greens are fast, a few have unfair slopes. On balance love the course.

The course layout is fine, but the conditions are atrocious. There is not a lot of maintenance going on here. I have played multiple courses in the Pinehurst area and this was the worst I have seen.

The course was in good shape. The practice area was really fine also.

There is a new dogtrack in town and this one has my vote for worst course in the aera. After a year away I thought I'd see if they've made any improvements and the answer is nope absolutely not maybe in worst shape than when I played it last. Not worth the money go play something else. Sorry beacon ridge but your in a golf mecca and you need to know that your in dead last place of places I would play. Please fix it!!

Beacon Ridge is a nice layout course and in a beautiful community.

You will have at least a half dozen hard pan lies during your round

The cart paths even a Afgan goat would be ashamed of.

No sand in the traps. Ponds with almost no water.

No restaurant and owners are less than accommodating.

Spend your money elsewhere.

Challenging, but, fair course with memorable holes. Because of the Elevation changes it is important to select the right tees. Uphill holes will play longer than one extra club. There is a good balance between difficult and easy holes. Some holes have slopes that demand you stay below the pin. If you are into enjoyment and challenge this i the course for you.

I booked tee time and paid in advance. What they did not tell me was that they were having an outing and I would be following four foursomes. My tee time was shortly after 3:00 pm. I was unable to complete the round.

The course had a nice layout. The fairways had many weeds and bare spots. Would not return until the course is improved.

I booked thru GolfNow and got 3:00pm tee time. When I checked in at the pro shop they told me I would be following 9 foursomes in a club event. This rather than start me on 10. Should have been disclosed prior to booking. Course, fairways and bunkers in average condition. No towels at ball cleaners. No Marshall’s. I was unable to complete my round due to darkness.

Great condition right now- absolutely love playing Beacon Ridge. No restaurant or bar- but you can grab some beers from a proshop cooler. As the Pinehurst area continues to raise prices to almost absurd levels- Beacon Ridge is a fair deal & one of the best values in NC! JP

Greens were fine. Fairly fast but not crazy fast. Fairways were in decent shape. Rough was rough. Cart paths need quite a bit repair. Catch this course on a deal and it’s worth your time.
