Beacon Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Beacon Ridge Golf and Country Club, a Gene Hamm design on rolling, wooded terrain, opened in 1989. This well-maintained course has bermudagrass fairways and bentgrass greens.
Perhaps what sets Beacon Ridge apart from a number of other courses in the Pinehurst area is its variety. Just about every hole has its own character. The greens are mostly large and sloped. You will find adequate room off the tee, but if you miss the fairway, you’ll end up in deep rough and pine trees and might not find your ball. Play conservative and keep your ball in play.

Getting a facelift
This course is quickly becoming a great location for many reasons. Improving by leaps & bounds & should be considered if you haven't been there.
Love the Beac
If you want a flat & cookie cutter layout- play elsewhere!!! It's a treat to play with lots of variety & a great challenge with many elevated greens. I love the price/pace/layout.
Challenging with good variety
Excellent golf course. Fairways and greens in great condition. A lot of elevation changes. Fairways can be challenging as they can be narrow and frequently dogleg left/right. The course is working on the bunkers and tee boxes. Go an d enjoy this fun and scenic layout.
Great day of golf
It was an awesome trip. We were running from all bbn of bvb the rain bnb in our area. We will be back.
Course review
Fun to play, good layout. Sand bunkers need to be strained to get rocks out , hazardous to my new pings.
Amazing
This course used to be one of the least maintained and forgettable in the area. Since the renovations, it is now in my top 3. The greens are pure, the holes are beautiful and the staff is great. Do not miss this one when coming to the area.
Excellent potential. An interesting course, wrinkles and all
This country club facility is in bad need of some TLC. On the course, some cart paths and teeing grounds were bare, bumpy or sandy, and we did find some drainage issues, but the fairways, greens and traps were consistent, with no bad surprises It is a very good routing, filled with instantly memorable holes. With hardly anyone on the course, this was a good place to knock it around. Only caveat....GolfNow did not mention that the course had only its front 9 open when I visited. I looped around twice in 2.5 hours.
Short but tricky
Great course that you can take less off the tee to make it as long as you want. Greens were a little too firm and slow for me, but had a great time.
Short but interesting
From the tips it is only 6200, but I could definitely see myself playing here regularly and just leaving the driver and 3 wood in the car to make it play longer. The greens are quite firm, but we’re a little slow. I am used to fast greens, so getting the ball to the hole was a challenge. Great layout though with so great bunkering
Great layout
Enjoyed the layout of the course and pace of play. This course is a value for the price and will definitely play again. Tee boxes need water and sprucing up but the greens were in excellent shape and rolled true throughout. Worth the trip!
Beacon Ridge
Unbelievable friendly staff. Great Course. Loved every minute!
