The 18-hole Whispering Woods Golf Club in Whispering Pines, North Carolina is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1974. Designed by Dan & Ellis Maples, Whispering Woods Golf Club measures 6324 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 134 and a 70.8 USGA rating.
The semi-private course offers challenges to both the intermediate as well as the accomplished player. The course rambles over undulating terrain which is carefully maintained by the caring staff. The greens are known for their conditioning and the course is a favorite for annual returning golfers. This is a track with alot of character.

Challenging Course
Very nice course. Challenging. Was a little wet from rain the day before, but seems to drain very well. Still allowed carts on fairways..
Course review
Very nice course. Was a little wet but the Course condition was good. First time playing there but will be back.. Enjoyed the several challenges.. Especially the water 😲
Underrated for sure
The course is well kept. The price is good. Great layout. Only negative thing is there isn’t a practice range and the club house grill is closed. But other than that it’s pretty good.
Nice Course
I have played here a couple of times now and I enjoy the layout. The course was a bit wet but we had a ton of rain so that was to be expected.

You really can’t beat this course for the price. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Great day of golf. We always try to ply here when we visit. The staff is so friendly and let us tee off alittle
Early since no one was in front of us. Green were in great shape but very hard to read. The owners and staff continue to make improvement to the course and it is a great value and always a fast pace of play.
Great value
We live locally and can choose from several courses. WW is one of if not the best value in the Sandhills. It's one of our go to courses...and they make a great turkey sandwich 🥪 😋

Glad you enjoyed the course, we do have two nets you can hit balls into, also have a large practice putting and chipping area. The Country Club of Whispering Pines, allows our players to go over to their rage before or after to hit balls! Sorry the Filly and Colts were closed for vacation, we did have fresh Boars Head sandwich's and a variety of cold drinks for sale!
