A nice walk around PineHurst
It was nice, day at the Course. I played with a nice young man. We were finished in 31/2
Hours the Greens were not as fast as i was told but it did not matter.
The layout was, fine. The back nine was longer then the front. OVERALL
A great day..
Worth a Visit
Enjoyed my first round at Whispering Woods. A beautiful course with challenging, yet playable holes it is one of the gems of the Pinehurst area. Only downside was that our foursome was constantly pushed by smaller groups that we let play through. Course maintenance was odd in some areas where sod was just laid on top of the existing turf though that did not impact play. A course worth putting on your to-play list in Central NC.
Hot Golf
Course was is really good shape! Best shape in the last year. I try to play here each time I visit. They continue to improve this course everytime we play. Staff is so friendly and let us tee off early since we arrived early. No waiting..there was a group a few holes ahead and behind us...this was great as it was so hot(95) and we kept moving. Finished 18 in j under 3 1/2 hours.
Fun greens and Par 5s for days
Was an enjoyable course to play and has great prices. Staff in the pro shop, maintenance crew, and restaurant were very friendly. I will definitely be playing there again.
First time 30 years
Greens very good, overall condition good, was not crowded. Great value for the money, challenging course,
Awesome course
Played course 2 years ago and vast improvements were made since then. Every hole is an experience and you need to pay attention on when to use your driver. The greens are exceptionally fast which will cost you strokes. One hole on back nine had a green side bunker covered in weeds. Not certain why but it should be filled in or removed. We enjoyed the layout and we will be back again. Staff very friendly including those in the bar.
Home course
Always love playing this course. Great new restaurant in the clubhouse.
I made the right choice.
My home course was hosting a big tournament, so I needed a different place to play. I’m glad I chose Whispering Woods. It is a fun course and the staff was great. Celeste greeted me with a smile and introduced me to the regulars I would be playing with. Joe and Rob were a blast to play with, and I would have enjoyed my round regardless of how I played. I had my ups and downs, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I think I’ll be back again. I loved the layout. There was quite a bit of variety and some really interesting holes.
To be open. There is no range, but they have a net to hit into off the side of #1 so you your first swing is not off the tee box. I’ve played other courses without ranges, so good on them to think of the net. Small putting and chipping area was good enough to get a feel for things on the course.
Course is Great
Came out and played on Easter and had a great time. Fairways are in great condition. The greens played well with good selection of pin locations. Pace of play was good, didn’t have hardly any wait time. The staff was very friendly and the price is very reasonable, I definitely recommend. This course will be in top peak condition in the next few months and I will definitely be coming back.
Hmmm...
Improvements appear to be in process. Some cart paths have been repaved, looks like some trees removed, greens are true and quick in places, fairways are mostly good but still spotty. Signage on the course is lacking and the scorecard says there are restrooms where there aren't. When you sit on the course and just look around, everything looks kind of low budget and I guess that's why I only paid $30. It's not a bad track by any means, but IMO, it could use a substantial shot in the arm with money, some redesigning and the performance of a LOT of deferred maintenance. At this price however, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for an inexpensive round, this is a good option. If you're looking for an amazing design or first class condition, this isn't your spot.
Nice little challenge
Fairways could have been a bit more green. Greens are fast. All said and done, the layout and toughness of the course is good for all levels of players.
Polite Staff
Nice little course. In a culture of increasing rudeness, the entire staff was friendly and not stuffy. Will definitely give them my business again. Two thumbs up.
This course has a great bang for your buck
The course has fast greens but they are in great condition. It is a good course layout with some water and lots of ups and downs.
