Great course for the money
This is a ncie course. The only negative I would say was that the areas surrounding the greens were overwatered and were too wet making chipping difficult. That and the difficult greens made for a tough front 9. That said the fairways were nice.
Nice Track
This course has a great layout. It’s not very long, but the greens are super challenging. Definitely have to think about positioning on some holes.
Great Golf Course
Staff was very nice. Great course for the money. Nice layout. We drove down from Raleigh and will return soon.
Great course
From out of state. Second time playing this course. Very friendly staff. Not crowded. Great layout. Some challenging holes but not too difficult. Will definitely play again next time I’m in town.
Sadness
This is called sadness because it appears a lack of money is likely the result of a course that is slowly dying and will be closed eventually. I feel bad for the members. The fairways had no roll due to not a lot of mowing. the greens were grainy and inconsistent with no grab. cart paths were extremely worn out. I am sure it was a fun place in it's hayday but it's like going to a closed down drive in movie theater from the 70s.
design of course is actually very cool. pace of play was great because no one was playing. rate was very low so at least that was somewhat of a value.
I wish someone would purchase it with unlimited funds and save this dying place.
I wish the membership the best in the future.
Honestly, what the heck?
Wow, this was my second time playing this course because I felt like I needed to give it a second chance. The first time was horrible. They force everyone into 4s which destroys the pace of play. I waited a minimum of 15 minutes per shot. If you’re like me and hate slow golf, don’t play here. So the second time I played I showed up to no one being at the club house. Everyone was waiting outside, one person found keys in the a cart and took off, other decided to walk. A lady who works there (but was actually off and had a tee time to play) arrived and started working. I paid in full for 18 but only played 9 because of how awful the pace of play was. It was extremely discombobulated. The course is actually nice and pretty well taken care of. The employees just ruin the experience with forced 4sums and awful play pace.
Always a fun course
Played numerous times here. Is always a fun course and great layout. The tee boxes could be cut a bit shorter… almost felt like I was teeing off in my backyard grass. Overall though course was great!
The Woods
Great course with a lot of up hill down hill and some blind shots. There have been some improvements made over the last couple of years. Worth the time to check it out.
