About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

The worst tee boxes in 3 counties, they never roll the greens so putts bounce off line constantly. Weeds everywhere. Balls roll thru hard sand traps.
An attorney bought the place a couple of years ago to develop townhouses on it so it is not being treated like a golf course anymore. Before the heavy rains this course had the worst conditions you've ever seen. Straight tin cup status. The bad conditions will return with the lack of rain again, they don't water much.

This course sucks
Minus the decent Mountain View’s this course sucks. Course staff was rude, and the cart path acted like a water runoff so You are constantly driving over messed up concrete and water running under your cart on half the course. Driving range nets were falling off all over the place. Greens were alright at best. Pace of play was equivalent to playing behind Patrick Cantlay at The Masters. Took us almost 4 hours to play 13 holes until we decided to call it quits.

The course is in great condition and the staff is nice!
I haven't been here for awhile, but loved it. The greens are in great condition and the fairways is also pretty good.
It was a delay at the t-box, but after that, it was not too bad. It took close to 5 hours..
I will definitely come back to play soon :-)

So much potential
As I am playing through, I am constantly thinking how wonderful this course COULD be. It is so unfortunate that they do not care for this course.

Need to know what the actual scorecard/handicaps are.
I see several versions online that have a date of Aug 2020, which look more accurate and realistic than the card at the course. We want to bring an 8 4some group regularly, but we need to know which is current.

A little TLC and this course can be GREAT!
This course has obviously been neglected (mainly the pro shop / no restaurant and range netting) but the greens are very nice and the back drop is stunning. Overall the course is in good shape but there is some drainage issues and lots of swampy areas. The unprecedented CA rain may have caused some of the damages but the course is nice and green.
Great place for a practice round and I hope someone puts some money back in to this place.
Also this course sees cooler weather for those hot summer days where the valley courses are in the 90’s-100’s….
It has the bones to be spectacular but definitely needs some lovin’.

Was fine up until like the 3rd hole when we caught up to other golfers (Slow Play… Thinking Too Much of Their Shots then the Courtesy Of Pace of Play) think they overbooked.. tee times seemed to be 8 minutes apart Shoulda been 15 and less Bookings .. Had to Quit after 13 Holes cause it was dragging on.. Especially when you’re on a Roll…

PROS
-The putting green is small but nicely kept.
CONS
-Practice range is horrible. The net that surrounds the range is tattered and broken. They will not allow you to hit your driver because of this.
-There is an awful smell throughout the course. Their drainage is so bad, there is a lot of swampy/marshy spots throughout the course.
-The bathrooms throughout the course were gross and disgusting. The bathroom stall doors were rusting apart. I felt like I was going to get tetanus just walking in. It appears they haven’t been clean in days if not a week.
-The some of the cart paths were drains and stunk really bad.
***Final note, I’m surprised the health department has not shut this place down. If management would give this place some TLC and fix the drainage problems, this could be a great course.

So insanely slow
Played at 930a on Friday. Finished 9 holes at 12:45p. Ungodly slow. Too many players sent out at once. Course in great condition and people are nice, but they gotta book fewer groups. I’ll never play there again

Springtime
Grass on the fairways are looking better. Rain has caused some flooding issues, but the payoff is with the beautiful grass growing wild. Greens are challenging but true. Always enjoy playing here, I try for 2-times a week

Still beautiful from the rains
Very green all around, water still coming down from the hills, ducks enjoying the lakes and ponds, lush greenery all around and on the hillsides. Great place to tune your game. Staff and patrons are very friendly and easy-going.
