About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Good news, bad news
The bad news is that virtually all the amenities are gone from this course. No restaurant, no pro shop, no benches, ball washers, trash cans, etc.
The good news is because of this situation, you can always get a tee time, and it's usually the lowest priced round of golf available.

Until someone in ownership/management actually cares about this course I will not be back..Save your $ people and stay at home. Poorest maintained course in California, dead carts littering the course, don’t think the grass has seen a lawnmower blade in years.. Bunkers are worse then a litter box, Tee boxes are horrible.. Guess one can say playing here is like having bad sex..Best part of the painful 6 hours was the wildlife by the 6th Tee.

I played this course almost everyday in mid to late 90s, I stopped playing golf for the most part until 2022. I don't live in Camarillo anymore but came home for Christmas and New Years and thought I'd play Springs. This course used to be beautiful. It seems like the only thing they even attempt to maintain are the greens. The Driving range mats are garbage, the nets are ripped, the carts are abused and you can barely drive them straight. The old par 5 near the parking lot still hasn't been reopened, looks like they use the old chipping green as a playable hole now. The fairways are patchy and weed ridden. I'm sad as this was my home course and I loved it. I don't think I'll play it again, ever. This makes me sad. I hope someone that cares buys this course and fixes it. I fear that it is beyond repair at this point and would have to be totally torn down and redone. Looks like no one cares about it. They should rename course to Camarillo Municipal Dog Park and Golf course. Sorry for the scathing review but it's legit. This course could be great, people came from all around to play here back in the day.

Course needs a lot of work
Horrid conditions, I understand that it was raining the day before but massive puddles everywhere and the smell of sewer from hole 2-5 really made it an unpleasant round of golf. Also, for the value of 47 -57 dollars is a bit steep.
Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear we disappointed you. As for the sewer smell, the golf course borders the Camarillo Sanitary District Water Reclamation Facility, and unfortunately we can't control the direction of the wind. We will pass along your feedback to management.

The course used to be great
Went to go play today after all the rain I knew there would be water and mud out. First off the Tee Box on number 1 was over grown and high. Tee boxes were uneven and not maintained .
There were no garbage cans , ball washers or even a set up for you to clean your golf shoes to get the mud off your spikes.
Not a great value the course was in much better shape a couple months back I guess they just don’t care to mow or give attention to parts of the course.
The Greens were in good shape

Not great
Not in good shape. I played here a couple years ago and it was In better shape then it is now and it wasn’t in good shape back then either. I won’t be going back at least for a while.

Although the fairways could be in better shape, this is a fun and challenging course for players of every level with very reasonable green fees.

No carts available, and when they did give us one it died in the second hole. You get what you pay for and less.

Pace of play
Pace of play was excruciating, had enough after 15. That's all I got for ya .know need to revisit this tract.
