About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Very poor condition
I do not recommend this course. It is in very poor condition. Tee boxes and fairways are dry without much grass. Greens are in OK shape. Our cart died on the 2nd hole.Overall very poor course condition and amenities.

Not Worth The Price
Got a good Golf Now "Hot Buy" 12:04 Monday tee time and regret it. Showed up and was told "sorry you'll need to wait, we don't have any golf carts available. We had some unexpected traffic walk up without a tee time so we got busy." Upon starting, pace of play is terrible. Have waited at every hole. Worst part is the smell! The whole course smells like sewage to the point of waiting to leave after 4 holes. I'd rather pay double and play somewhere else. I'm a bogey, casual golfer, but won't pay to play here again.

Good for beginners
As a beginner golfer, I enjoyed playing this course. There are some really long holes, and a fair amount of different conditions that challenge you. Unfortunately, the course condition was dry. However it’s understandable because of the drought CA is currently experiencing.

Great deal and greens!
This course is my to go course for the summer months. It's cooler at this location than other SFV locations that I'm usually playing. I'm trying to get here when I can and will be back.
I had an issue with my golf cart and had basically no power from hole #2!
I had my partner with another cart push me around through hole 7 where they brought me a new cart.
Hopefully this will not happen again?

Save your money, play elsewhere!
Aside from well maintained and quite fast greens, the course needs MAJOR maintenance. Cartpaths are broken, fairways are sketchy at best and there are water drainage issues all around the course. The golf carts are in pretty sorry shape as well. The weather is definitely a draw and the staff is extremely friendly ... but that does not make up for an otherwise forgettable golf experience

Guys, I am an avid golfer. This course has asked me to accept, poor upkeep, sewer smells on the front nine. I won’t be back until the project is finished.
I understand the plan to improve or it will close. Hey everyone, it’s going to close to improve or if the measure does not pass the new management will close it anyway.
12 holes and an acceptable practice area is what this course needs.
The primary owner is a lawyer so proceed with caution and read everything twice. That smell he is using as a motivational pivot for everyone to accept.
I guess it beats 5 tons of chicken manure he (alllegedly) did on a prior course take over.
The course should have returned it to his home.
I know it’s business but gestures like that does not build community assistance only angry neighbors.
I say let’s see the master plan. Right now some pastures mid California look better that that course does today.
The owner is neglecting the course no doubt, which is a shame. However the sewer smell is from the sewer treatment plant just beyond the 3rd fairway. I'm not familiar with the particulars, but why this course doesn't have recycled water and lush fairways is beyond me. It's actually a decent layout in a great location. Should be a no brainer considering the renewed popularity of golf. The 12 hole option is idiotic, and will never work.

As an FYI, the golf course borders the Camarillo Sanitary District Water Reclamation Facility. The smell on the front nine cannot be controlled by the course, only by which way the wind is blowing.
