About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Save your $$
Tee time was 5:40AM but ended up having to wait at hole 8 for a group that somehow got in front of me…..it’s like groups just SHOTGUN to whatever hole they want and it interrupts the pace of play. Cart looked like it was in a war and lost, fairways looked like the bunkers…..low quality everything. Won’t be back!

Greens Look/Play Great
I rarely play this course, but I was in the neighborhood. I got a deal time on GolfNow. I have never seen the greens in such great shape. I hooked up with two other guys and we finished the round in three hours. This course has such potential, but I understand the water issues. This is a great course to practice your game, but I wouldn't want to play for money. Not unless you agree to give relief from the holes in the fairways. Had a great time!

Drought hitting hard
Course is drying out. GreensKeeper is doing a fine job around the greens but the fairways are getting a bit crispy.
POP was bad today, it was a Friday and lots of people were out, so unfortunately it took just under 5 hours with a lot of waiting. A real shame overall, a couple of fairways are almost too shaggy dry again with the weird weed, like on hole 15, they should just cut away that crabby weed off the top, that thing just needs to be done away with. It’s like some heather type that just shouldn’t be there.

Course in shambles
This place is a dump and it took 3hrs to play the front. Dead spots in the fairways and on the greens.

Save your money
The greens are OK other than that conditions were pretty awful. Sending groups out five minutes apart cause a bunch of back ups, but his way ended up being OK on the back nine. Somebody needs to put some money into this course.

The place is putting in the work.
The tee boxes and green complexes (by that, it’s about the whole area surrounding the greens) are in great shape. Very lush and lots of excellent grass. Yes of course, there are some fairways that need a little more work , everybody knows this, but for a supposed “muni” at this level, it’s on par with every other muni out there in LA City or County or Long Beach etc., they’re all the same with the same kinds of contusions with some trouble dry or dead spots. All the same.
But the greenskeeper here knows what he’s doing. One more week and the greens will be perfect. They had been punched three weeks ago and it was almost back to excellent today.
Course had signs up to keep the carts away from the green areas, which is great. They should keep that there all the time. It’s nice to see that, knowing that the greens areas will be protected.
Always fun to play here.
