Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Not worth it unless on sale
First of all, I don’t write reviews often but I think it’s helpful to inform people of experiences to help them make a accurate decision. Camarillo Springs has potential to be a great track, but overall it was sub-par(no pun intended) for the most part. I was suppose to tee off around 5:30am but the pro didn’t show up until 5:35am. Price was great so I guess can’t be too picky. Anyway, tee boxes were the worst I’ve seen. Fairways were soaked and muddy. Greens were actually decent and rolled pretty well. Difficult from the tips and with a little TLC, this course could be good again. 2.5 out of 5.
Greens are in great shape , course was drying out but they resumed watering it to much. Great value for the price
fast round, but greens under repair
the course was empty today and as a twosome we played the round on 3 1/2 hours. greens have q lot of sand on them. cost at $45 was a bit higher than I expected.
Better than expected
Course was in better than expected condition. Fairways and Greens looked good and the course has new carts.
Getting better
After being the worst track around for years, this course is getting better. The greens and fairways are filling in, but the tee boxes are still very uneven. I paid $35 on a Sunday at 1 PM on a holidays. It’s more 20+ handicappers so pace was slow, but it wasn’t crowded. Carts are never but don’t have gps. The grass is good enough if you hit it where you are supposed to. This is not a course to keep in the rotation, but you need to play, it will work for the price.
Course is in good shape, though greens are slow and bumpy
A very windy day, but we were happy to find the course in better shape than we expected. A moderately easy course with green fairways, but bumpy and slow greens.
Very little traffic, and at a good Golf Now price.
Course is coming back to life..!
After staying away from this course for almost all of last year. I've played 3 rounds this year so far and this course is really coming back to life. Our twosome got done in 3.5 hours. The staff was great. Will definitely be booking more golf at Camarillo Springs.!!
Great Course
Very good track, not sure how this place has such a relatively low rating. Course was a little wet due to the excessive amount of rain lately, but I would definitely play here again.
Diamond in the ruff
This course was in the best shape that it’s been in in a long time. Greens were smooth and pin placement was challenging. Perfect weather and finished in 3 hours great pace of play
Recent heavy rain but draining well.
90 degree rule on many holes today. Slow 4 balls out there but we were let through as appropriate. Clubhouse catering area not a lively place to be.
Never seen anyone in there. Staff pleasant and helpful
Good practice range on grass twice a week.
Enjoyable round.
My wife and I teed off Friday at 1.10 and were were round in 3.5 hours. That's fine. There's a relaxed atmosphere here. It's not crowed and we weren't rushed in any way.. The course is in overall very good condition, and the greens are as good as I've seen anywhere. We were mostly at the foot of the mountain. Breathtaking backdrops, and the course setting is awesome. The last 7 holes is like a wildlife park with numerous wildfowl in evidence. Inland waterways. It's a good test of golf and whilst some areas could do with some tidying up, GolfNow makes it real value for money. Will definitely return. btw how can they charge $5 for 2 kit kats!!
Interesting Layout
It’s almost like the course has 3 personalities. You cross roads twice with different looks and terrain. Some cool looks with mountain backgrounds. Back nine has three par 3s, par 4s and par 5s. Good variety of distances on par 3s. Tee boxes were average, fairways not in very good shape. Saving grace were good (and quick) greens. Pace of play was good: 4:15. Limited resources in clubhouse. Good value for the money.
Friendly Staff
Greens are in good shape, but we noticed that law mower oil/fluid leaked all over the first six or seven today, so ...
Weekday playing course
I haven’t played the course in a while. I thought that the greens were in great shape, but the fairways and roughs were not . Maybe it’s because of the time of year, but parts of the course need some attention. Otherwise, I ‘ll give it a try again in the fall.
