Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Water
Course has an average lay out. A few 200 yd par 3's, nice. No clubhouse for drinks and snacks, pro shop is bare. Some areas are in need of a face lift and water is stagnant is many places. The oder is strong and we tired to avoid all puddles, if possible. Still had a wonderful time and hope to see improvements when we return.
Boneyard of Electrical golf cart
Great lay out , and a beautiful view. Green are green and spongy . Fairway in good shape. The rough Kept up or water . On someday golf cart line the course with dead battery. Mats are driving range are worn out . Staff does a good job considering the above facts
Hmmm
I booked online with GolfNow for $30. When I got there I was charged $41. The course is not in great shape. The greens are not cut down, so even with what visually looks like a break, the grass holds the ball. The rough is a combination of thick grass and weeds. Literally lost two ball in this stuff where I saw it go in. I always liked this course for the distance and the wind.
Needs some work
The course needs some work. Fairways have a variety of grasses and weeds so lies can be irregular. The rough is deep and inconsistent. Lots of uneven areas and weeds give the course a worn out look. Cracked and weedy cart paths. The clubhouse has little merchandise and need refurbished. It is a little depressing. The restaurant was closed on a Sunday afternoon.
Camarillo golf
Good day golfing wish cart would have been included that was a extra 24 $ little expensive
Never lost so many golf balls I'm the rough or fringe.
Some of the holes are in really bad shape. Never manicured and as such, you can't find your ball in the rough even though you saw exactly where it went. On top of that, we saw about 5 people walking due to broken carts and were praying it wouldn't happen to us. To be avail, both of our carts have up and we ended up walking the last 2 holes. This review is because the pro shop guy didn't even offer an apology let alone a refund or credit. All he said was that he was glad we were a bunch of strong young me and could carry our bags.i
Love this coursw
I've played this course off and on for over 10 years, and I've seen the highs and lows of this course. Many issues I have here are the condition of the tee boxes, greens, and lack of water. If either is neglected, I'll notice.
No problems here, on the course, or practice areas which are nicely maintained. I like the $3 warm up bucket for the range which is really close to everything. There's 2 putting chipping areas between the range and 1st tee.
The only downer is the cafe...rarely open so bring food and stuff if you play late and you need nourishment.
Good course
This is a good course and fun to play. It’s not too demanding so you can score a pretty solid round. Give it a shot and see what you think.
Getting better
last time I played this course it was in horrific shake. Things have improved, still a long way to go but it has improved. Bang for the buck is good.
Would not honor golfnow price
The course is in good condition with nice views. Had an issue with the pro shop worker, Ryan Glass, who was rude and would not honor the discounted rate I booked on golfnow. However, I went back the next day and the manager, Glenn Melnick was really nice and gave me the credit for the difference. Will definitely go back, but they should probably get rid of that guy. If it wasn't for Glenn, this review would be worse; value and friendliness would drop star. However, I think if Glenn would checked us in, those two items would be 5 stars.
NICE TIME
I like this course. I belong to a private course (TPC) but I enjoy playing lots of different places. This place has a nice set up and is pretty easy which makes you feel good. We got behind a very slow group that was 2 holes behind at the 9th hole and they let us through. My complaint is there is no Marshall to manage groups like this. Shot 77 and would have been 87 at TPC lol.. Fun track and nice mountains in the background on a few holes.
Hope the new ownership turns this place around
90 minutes to play the first two holes...fivesomes allowed with one person without his own clubs......all walking no less because they are out of carts....our cart was out of power after 11 holes...i quit after 14 @ 6 hrs...I won't be booking here again until and unless they turn it around as evidenced by a lot of positive reviews. Too bad because the course is a great layout and in a beautiful setting.
disappointed
I invited a friend and when we checked in we were told that we had to pay for a cart $10 dollars each to ride the same cart. The cart die at the 16 hole we had to wait for a replacement. From now on I have to pay attention at Golfnow's offers
Golf carts
The golf carts are in horrible condition. We played later in the day and there weren’t enough carts for us to have one when we arrived. 10 minuets before the tee time they were made available and off we went. In the sixth hole we ran into an abandoned cart. Then on the ninth hole another one in the middle of the fairway. Another one on tenth and one one the 16 before ours died on the 17th. Time for some new ones in my opion. The club house can use a lot of work and the have no merchandise inside. I am also assuming the greens weren’t rolled due to the rain over the past weekend. They looked great and are healthy but very bumpy due to not rolling them. This course could easily be one of the best in Ventura county with some updates and upgrades all around. But for the money you can go out and have a good time. Just bring your own push cart.
