Camarillo Springs Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Doing downhill
I had a round on Saturday morning and the party in front of us took forever. Party of 5!! No marshal...no cart lady....no one calling names to tee off. The best part was when our golf cart died on hole 5......then again on hole 15. Bad experience of course!!!
Good deal and fun!
Haven't played this course in quite some time. It was a little windy and cold but the sun was up. Perfect day for golfing and losing some Pro V1s... The greens were nice but don't leave anything short going uphill!
Stay in the fairways!!! The rough is that "Couldkillya" grass or cactus depending on the hole. Your wedge shots will go wherever they want to from the rough if you're not careful. Played with a great group of golfers. The front nine is beautiful. The back is challenging. Going back soon!
Greens
Very slow pace of play, staff was great, greens were in great shape. Will play this course again
Walking or riding
The course was in it's usual condition. A little sloppy here and there. The greens were very good. When I bought the round I did not realize that it was a walking round. I was embarrassed for the course and golf now for publishing a walking round for $32 when I could have paid less just showing up. Golf Now should be more professional and avoid these type of listings.
Horrible fairways
Played here a few times. On 12/29 the fairways were in horrible shape and the rough had a lot of bare spots. The group of 3 in front of us was more interested in smoking weed and playing music than playing golf. They routinely waited until the green cleared on the par 5’s while sitting 300 plus yards out from the green... then after the 11th hole an non-golfer joined them and proceeded to attempt to hit balls from each tee... never made contact once!
Ok, far better out there
We booked through golf now. This happens to be the only course that doesn't include golf cart in the golf now price. So it is actually $15 more per person. Very annoying for us and the couple of groups that checked in before us. Course isn't worth that price point in the condition it is in. I do enjoy the course layout. Has some fun holes. If the course was maintained properly it would be a great course. But, with the awful amenities and poor condition of everything it just isn't worth the drive out from LA.
Good Course to Play and Relax
I live nearby this golf course so I go often. Its a very fun and its normally well taken care of. Recommended to others.
New Management
The new management took over and they overbooked the course did not have enough carts for people, did not honor the GolfNow bookings and said those bookings were walk only which was not true, the place was just a mess. The groups which were booked for 11:30AM were able to play start at 1PM, people left without playing. We could only play 14 holes.
Beginers course
Cheap price gor a cheap course, fairways where bumpy and uneven, clubhouse might have been a shack, no club drop off, 7:30 am and bar was not open, my golf cart had a hole in the windshield as big as a basketball. I paid for walking but they had no pull carts so i had to rent a cart another 9 bucks. Now the greens wherr in great shape but to get there you need to wear a neck brace. It truly has potential hope they can put some money into it.
Very good basic course
The course needs repair to the cart paths and better-maintained fairways and bunkers. Everything is very dry, including most of the water holes being dry.
Bad
Course is in terrible condition. Hitting a fairway is not always the best option here. Will never play here again. Tee boxes are not even tee boxes.. Driving range mats are trash. Not worth your money.
A Goat Track
I last played Camarillo Springs more than 20 years ago, and wow has it gone downhill. The fairways are dry as a bone and the smallish greens were hard as a rock. Around holes 3-5 there is a putrid sewage-like stench that permeates those holes. My playing partner and I nearly vomited. 20 some years ago, this course was lush and a joy to play. Now, perhaps due to drought and mismanagement, it is a goat track. Fairways are mostly dry and brown. The rough is cut so that if your ball should trickle off the fairway or if your ball doesn’t hold a green, you might not find your ball. My playing partners often thought we were being penalized for hitting it in the fairway, the lies were so poor. The course does have some good practice areas, but what was once a gem of a course is now sadly a shadow of what it once was.
Great course but not the rough
I liked the course as well as the pace of play but one thing I didn't like is the rough. I almost injured my right wrist on the 1st hole by hitting from the rough. I expected to be somehow tough but it felt like I was hitting a tree.
