About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Nice day in the sun
Shot a crappy round but had a good time with friends
Nice deal with carts for a decent price
Course a little rough around the edges but very much playable , greens in pretty good shape
Enjoy playing there a few times a month .

Best part shot an 80 for my best score ever there . Play there at least once a month , great scenery on the front ! Came home very happy !

Too slow
They seem to overbook on the weekends. My tee time ran about 20 minutes late. Pace was very slow. Some people gave up on the back 9 which helped for the last few holes. Conditions were dry in some areas and mooshy in other areas. This place needs help. views of the hills are nice, but the conditions are far worse than the LA/Valley courses. Definitely not worth the drive on a Saturday.

A great walking course
The amount this course has improved by is insane, everywhere it matters, greens, fairways, aprons are awesome, The greens are insanly good compared to most courses in the county. Yes there is some bare spots on some fairways, so what, just move your ball over to the grass, the grass in fairways is groomed, the greens are groomed, the rough is cut. What else to you want?
Yes the traps are bad but honestly that is the last thing I would put money into, Hole 12 is almost ready to open again, I'm pumped, I walk this course all the time in 3 1/2 hours. I don't really want to give a good review because I want it for myself and people just think it is still a dogpark. Its not.
If you are a golf snob stay away, I like showing up and walking on, but more golfers mean more money to improve course, so reluctantly I say give it a run, you will be 80% happy with it, and if you can keep it in the fairway and on the greens you will love it.
I usually play solo and there are plenty of places to cut across if you get stuck behind some slow players, You can always just play 1 and 7 over.
Rangers are chill as is staff, I've never had anyone giving me crap.
This course could be a goldmine with a little more effort and cash to improve.

Golf course rating
This may be the worse course I have ever played. It started as soon as I went into the golf shop to check in. The starter seemed to be busy checking something on his phone and during our brief interaction seemed to not be enjoying being there. When I went to get a cart which were parked every which way I had to go to three different carts before it found one that didn’t have trash or cigarette butts in the cup holders. Carts were overall dirty.
The overall course was poorly maintained though the greens were in better than average condition. Many tees were not level, bunker sand condition inconsistent . Clearly there is a shortage of maintenance personnel. The main building is run down, the bathrooms are terrible. The place needs a complete overhaul.
I will not play this course ever again and will warn others to avoid this course
