About
Situated at the base of the Conejo Mountain, Camarillo Springs Golf Course was carefully carved from the mountain's towering rock formations but it gets its name from the scenic water features that can be found throughout. Naturally, water is the primary challenge on this course, coming into play on eleven holes. There are also long par 3s that will require a sharp iron game. The course offers a fair test of your skills but the elevation changes are modest and the player-friendly fairways are wide and forgiving, which make the course more accessible to beginners. The golf course has a memorable start with a par-4 second hole, which is a tricky dogleg left from an elevated tee that features one of the best views on the course. The consistently good course conditions and the affordable rates have garnered Camarillo Springs a strong following among local golfers.

Is the place saying? New carts!!
Yes, sure, the range is a bit tattered, the netting needs to be repaired. But the standard mats are fine, as are the balls, they have put in new balls the same soft limited-flight Srixon balls that are at the LA City munis. And it’s $9 for a medium! Can’t beat that! I’ll take it all day, just for a warm up? Perfectly fine!
They have new carts!! Brand new!!! Is Camarillo being saved? Are the 18 holes staying? Yes yes sure some of the holes are a bit dried out and have dirt patches and bare spots - but lemme tell you, it’s no different to the LA City or County courses!!! It’s the same. Especially when you talk about Rancho Park or Wilson that are ripped to shreds.
The greenskeepers at Camarillo should be commended - the green complexes are great, greens are good, and!!! They machine rake the bunkers!!!! Thank you for that!!! You don’t get such nicely raked bunkers anywhere at any of the LA City or County munis, those bunkers are destroyed, foot prints everywhere, and nobody rakes them!! I was in heaven in these bunkers, yes yes some are crusty, but at least it’s smooth and not pock-marked with footprints!!! Yes!!!
I don’t want to talk it up too much, but for the same price as those others, but with better greens and bunkers, as well as a truly fun layout, and cooler climate than the Valley? You can’t say no. It’s perfectly fine to play.
I hope the course stays and gets fixed back to its original condition. Either way, I’ll keep playing, since they’ve wrecked River Ridge next door and Olivas gets boring fast.
Sure it’s a bit of a drive from the Valley but it’s worth it.

Great Course with some small issues
It is a nice course, but there are some areas that end up muddy due to a water issue. The storm drain line right in the middle of the 18th fairway is a bit ridiculous, but that is the biggest problem with the course (which is not bad at all).
The 12th hole is also a bit dangerous since the netting on the driving range needs to be replaced so you do have to watch your head.

Nice but could use a refresh
A nice course with friendly staff, but the entire facility could use a face-lift and refresh. The driving range had no balls available (we had to fish them out ourselves!) and there were a lot of brown patches in the fairways. The pro shop was a bit old, and it looked like the kitchen was set up outside.
Nevertheless, the course was challenging enough for most people, and it wasn't packed for a Sunday (which helped with pace of play). Flat enough where you can walk it instead of riding.

Good deal with teeoff
Course in ok condition but tough around the edges many bare spots
Was pretty warm out there yesterday in the afternoon

Returned after one year
The fairways need watering and pace of play was slow. Greens were in good condition. Liked that there were food options available.
