Nice course
This is the first time I played the course. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens were a bit hard and ran fast which was not an issue. Just had to adjust a bit. I enjoy trees on a course and this one didn't really have a lot of them. A lot of wide open fairways which is good but trees make it even better to relax. Loved the touch screen GPS on the golf cart. The only gripe I have is the lack of quality food for a high end course like this. Hot dogs did the trick but I was in the mood for something better. However, they were cheap so I will give them that. I will be returning.
course in great shape
Hot day but great conditions for course. Pace tad slow due to # of golfers but not course fault. Not bad waits. Everything in top shape.
Great job by turfgrass team
Egwani Farms is in great shape thanks to the turfgrass team and their efforts. Great playing conditions. Well done.
Fair amount of water Take some water balls
Course is in great shape Greens are tricky Putt well for a good score Staff is super Only neg for me is the price is high for a senior retiree Most courses around here have an affordable twilight after 2 -3 or 4 around 25.00 bucks ( HINT ) Would play more here if that was the case Any way i had a great time and will be back if i catch a deal
A challenge for sure!
The course is in excellent shape. The greens are only about 1-2 years old and are still firm and a little bumpy but in great shape. The course is maticulously manicured and has beautiful green look. With the new native grass lining the fiarways it is a true test of links style golf.
Great improvement in this course.
Fairways, greens are vastly improved. Its a must play course now.
excellent shape
Course in excellent shape. Greens always great and hold well. only issue is morning rounds have many seniors who crawl, holding up play
Nice course but pace of play dragged on back 9
The course was in great shape. Pace of play was great on the front 9–played in about 90 minutes. Back nine was a different story and we are not sure what changed. Back 9 took 2 1/2 hours and we waited on every shot. The twosome in front of us played quickly but they had wait to hit every shot on the back 9 also.
Great course.
Good course to play. Only two recommendations. When playing cart path only, to have yardage markers in the fairways would be of great benefit. Price for concessions too high. Would be nice to have someone drive concessions cart around. More ball washers needed.
Great Course
the course wss in excellent shape. greens were a little hairy, but by far the best course condition in knox at the time. only complaint was the ranger complaing about pace of play when we fell behind 1.5 holes to a there some (we had a four some) and we wasn't holding anyone up. we finished our round in 4 hours and 15 minutes, so i felt that was kind of uncalled for. other than that, cold beer is extremely expensive, but the course is well worth the money
Great mix of links-style and tree-lined holes
This course is open in many areas, giving it a links-style feel. But it also has its share of more traditional tree-lined holes. Aside from the 11th hole, which is a real head scratcher, the layout is challenging but fair. Greens are in great shape, as are most fairways. Staff is friendly.
course in great shape
Course taking great shape after our hard rainy spring. Greens wonderful and fairways are better than most around for this time of year.
Great overall course
This was my first time playing and I was very impressed by the course. The course was in very good condition and I while a fairly tough course, it was fair. It’s a kink style course and offers several holes with high risk/high reward.
The only negative (and it’s a small one) is they did not have a cart person which is nice to have when it’s hot outside. I will definitely be back and I would recommend.
Good layout.....need some grass
First time playing there. The layout was nice. Sadly, little to no grass on the fairways. Greens were hard and fast. Pin locations made it nearly impossible to score. Way too many thin lies. Greens were relatively smooth. Need more water coolers out there. Played on Monday morning and it took 4 and 1/2 hours, way too long for a weekday round. Staff was friendly. I thought the GPS setup wasn’t really worth it. Very little information on it and it kept jumping around. For the price, it wasn’t too bad, but if I’d paid anymore than $27, I’d be disappointed afterwards.
Have always liked the layout
Like more open look with what use to be dense areas cut back. Gives a better look at fairways when teeing off & making approach shots.
Course was in excellent shape.
Keep up the good work !!!
Good stuff
Top rated carts/paths/maintenance on as with top CC’s $40k+ even though a public course. And for $20, to play should be valued triple. Upkeep of the course and friendliness/attention by staff is what you want for any course, but they deliver..no gimmicks. Extremely neat and clean. Fairways had their ruts from mowers but as expected during the rainy season..and raining the day of play. No question, will be back. A shorter course from tips but requires precision shots to fairways and greens, and they were rolling true. Idk how someone would write a negative review unless they play Augusta National every week
Links-style gem
The course is mostly links style, with only a few holes lined with trees. The greens are large and fast, and roll true. One has to use every club in the bag on this track, thanks to a good mix of long and shorter holes. The layout is great, except for hole #11, which is a real head scratcher that demands two precision shots to navigate the many hazards. Despite an unusually long winter, the course was in good shape.
Not all seniors are slow just as not all pros take all day i have played behind both
