Big Improvement
I had not played this course in a few years and was impressed in the improvements they have made. The course is much more playable now. They have opened up some areas which have really helped. For this time of year, the greens were is excellent shape. I'll be back again (when its not raining).
A very enjoyable course.
Egwani is always an enjoyable round of golf. It's a very nice layout with a good combination of sand (which is excellent) and water among the challenges it presents. The wind can also be a real issue at times here. The new greens are a nice improvement that was needed. The staff and services are exceptional for a public venue. A small bucket of balls to warm up with on the very nice range is included with your green fee. The only problem on today's round was it was cart path only bout certainly for good reasons. The carts are equipped with very good GPS with full color screens. I will certainly be back.
Windswept and Watery Tennessee Jewel
This Knoxville area tract has an unimpressive clubhouse and limited snack bar, but the course is a well conditioned jewel. First class golf carts with quality GPS system.
Great value
Play a lot on this tract , enjoy it each time many improvements over the last year.
Play it
Nice open feeling to the course. Good layout, not circus holes. Plenty of length. Great deals on GN! Decent shape for Feb., can't wait to see it green
Welcome to Egwani Farms GC
I have played Egwani several times over the years and I have always been impressed by the welcoming and friendly staff, they really appreciate you coming to play their course. Under the new management I am pleased report that the positive staff attitude continues to thrive. The course is in great condition with new cart paths. The greens are in excellent condition. Keep up the good work.
Great deal
Great deal at a local home course. It was cold, but the course was in great shape. Fairways are dormant, but the greens were excellent for this time of the year. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Great Course at a Great Value
I really enjoyed playing this course despite the weather being cold. I have been playing now for 4 months and addicted to the game. The course was was moderately level, which is not normal in east Tennessee. It has some water hazards but the fairways are wide and forgiving. I would recommend this course to anyone of all skill levels. It is very convenient to Knoxville.
Great Day on the Golf Course
Golf course is in excellent condition considering it is late November. Greens are exceptional, smooth and true. Very friendly staff and beer prices are the most reasonable of any public course in Knoxville. Layout suits golfers of all ability level.
Great changes have been made.
Egwani has recently gone through some major renovations. The course is looking great, the changes open up the course for a more welcoming, clean, and professional feel. The spring will bring in a great look for the course.
very friendly staff
good course layout some noise from nearby mill some hole straight forward easy some very challenging hole #11 best to go to top of hill and see complete hole before teeing off carts are great with gps also shows yardage and overhead view great value for price
Great greens
Nice place. Wide open course with little sand and some water. #11 is a poorly designed par 5 that is the only bad hole. Can only hit it about 160-170 off of tee - I would have screwed it up if I wasn't with locals. Carts have GPS but course has few yardage markers otherwise. I would play it again in a minute though.
Egwani is a great golf course
Egwani is a fun golf course. It has several challenging holes. The maintenance team keeps it in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Egwani.
Stuck behind club championship
The course was in good shape and I enjoyed the layout. My only complaint would be the pace of play. I was not informed ahead of time that I would be playing behind the club championship. It should not take 3 hours to play 9 holes, club championship or not. I was planning on playing this course more often as it is close to where I live, but this experience is going to make me look elsewhere first in the future.
This course has made some nice improvements.
They have made some nice improvements but they are still in process of completing the improvements. The new greens are still a little hard but they put well. They need to install a few more bunkers
this course has great character
course is in tremendous shape other than the repairs going on but still fun and challenging to play. will play
it again gladly.
Course in great shape
From tees to green, this course was in excellent shape. Weather was awesome and the staff very friendly. They even have great prices for draft beer on 19th hole. My only complaints were for basic housekeeping.... no paper cups for water coolers on back nine (holders were empty and I didn't have my own). Also, the ball washers had little to no cleaning solution in them. Besides that it was a terrific day. I will be back.
Fantastic course I love open courses
Excellent course layout!! Paths keep you going throughout round!! That's a plus for first time players! Staff were friendly and courteous!! I will defiantly tell my friends and return soon to play again!! Thanks
New rendition of Egwani
The amount of work done on the course is staggering.
The practice range has and is the best with being close to the clubhouse, allowing all clubs to be hit, short game area, and practice green.
Layout is good but the clearing done on holes 2and 3 will be immense upgrade. 11 is still a below average design.
Clearing of all shrubs and scrub trees makes a big difference visually.
The greens prior to changing to Bermuda were some of the best in town however the new greens are excellent.
Only fault is the new sand which is a spectacular white however stepping into them you sink down 3-5 inches. A scheduled watering them to provide a firmness will fix. The sand on the short game is perfect.
Over all the Egwani Farms is the best in the area for a semi-public course.
Always fun to play.
The course was being worked on in some places. Nice course.
