Hard Winter on all courses
This course is usually awesome. The rainy spring and hard long winter destroyed alot of fairways. The Greens are great and look good too. I will always recommend this course but fairways are a little rough.
Play early on weekends
Great course and value for the money. Considering recent weather conditions, course in great shape. Greens were true but a little slow. Bunkers need some work but staff says that will get attention this year. Play can be slow at times as we noticed several 5-somes playing course behind us. Thankfully the foursome in front of us had a good pace of play.
Good layout....fair for average players
Evaluating in mid Feb . can be a challenge due to weather conditions hampering staffs course maintenance... Overall fairways and greens good. Sand traps basically unplayable.... Our group was mixed with two mid handicapers and two high handicappers....both found the course challenging but fair.....new staff much more friendly than previous...
Nice course
I've been trying to get down and play Egwani for a while now. The Staff was extremely nice on arrival. They gave me a small bucket of balls to warm up with. Nice practice area. Course was in really good shape for February. I really enjoyed the front nine. It was difficult though and requires some good play. The back nine was nice but did not enjoy as much as the front. I will most definitely be back to play again.
this course has a excellent lay out
excellent to play would like to play more if the price was more exceptable.
For the amount of rain
The weather was not great but the course was in great shape .There was alot of rain and even some snow the night before but the course drained very well. There was almost no standing water on the course and the greens were in excellent shape.
This course has potential
I played this course in December after several days of rain. This course has potential to be a very nice golf course but needless to say it was still very wet and muddy when I played. I'm looking forward to playing Egwani Farms in the Summer under better weather conditions.
Egwani
Greens are in worse shape than normal but may be winter time.
great time
Egwani is always a fun an challenging course. Given the $25.00 rate this was an excellent value.
The course has great holes
Great course with some extremely difficult holes due to water. Was in good condition. The greens were perfect about a 12 in speed.
Nice and open layout
Great course that plays well under both rainy and sunny conditions. Relaxing Par 3s and nice Par 5's to rip the big stick. GolfSimba approves!
Better Value Elsewhere
The course is always in good condition. The layout is unique, but some holes are maybe a little too unique. The course is fun to play and they have decent practice facilities. The real issue is the value of playing here. Over the years the course has hosted some celebrity tournaments as well as fundraising events. I assume this contributes to their high rates and sometimes unfriendly employees. Either way, $50 (weekend) is not a value in this area, for what they offer, and they don't offer anything you can't get within a 20 minute drive for less money. Even the golfnow rates are higher than most.
If someone else is paying (or you are playing during the week), give this place a go and hope the staff is happy to see you rather than expecting you to feel privileged to get to play there. Otherwise save your money and drive an additional 20 minutes or so to another local offering.
Tricky course layout
Course was in good condition. Several tricky hole layouts with blind shots & water carries, without adequate course markings especially for the first timer. Other than the standard 200, 150, & 100 markers, I recall finding two or three sprinklers with yardage markers, and some didn't seem very accurate. Staff was very friendly.
The course was an interesting blend of designs.
The combination of water and sand will get your attention. The greens were excellent and fast. You really need to place your shots wisely or strokes will add up quickly. The water along both sides of No. 6 fairway really are an eye opener and make for a difficult tee shot. I'll be back toplay this gem again!!!
Super people at a very nice course.
More friendly and helpful people do not exist at any golf course I have played in the past 35 years. You can tell they genuinely want you to have a great experience. The course is in great shape and has several interesting holes. The driving range and putting/chipping areas are excellent. Several water coolers are spread out on the course and the beer is ice cold in the clubhouse. The most challenging part of this course for me is the placement of the numerous fairway bunkers (in excellent shape). I found myself with long bunker shots on several occasions. It is a very fair test of golf that demands good shot placement from most tees. Check out their website for the yardage books as they will come in real handy if you are trying to score well. This course is highly recommended at the regular rates and is a super bargain at anything less.
Outstanding
The course is in excellent condition. Greens, fairways and Tee boxes are in good condition. This course by far is in the best condition of all the courses that we have played this year. The Senior rate is best value. The staff was great. They even have a friendly dog named chief. You must play this course. Highly recommended for seniors.
Well, well, well....
I only played this course because there was a Hot Deal and I had a booking credit coming. They've been overpriced for some time as far as I'm concerned. It's also underrated, in my opinion - there are some real challenges out there. For example, number 11 which appears to be an afterthought in course design - have to place some really great shots to par that one! The bunkers need some serious work and a few of the fairways have been hit by the bad winter we had in Tennessee. The greens are still great and roll true. It's good to see them on GolfNow and perhaps I'll play them more often if I can find another GreatDeal.
This is a fun course with great features
This is a fun and well condition course to play with some very interesting holes. An excellent practice facility with plenty of room to work on your entire game. The staff was exceptional and very willing to offer assistance with any questions.
Could be better
This is a decent course for the money. However I'm not sure of the relative value because I don't live in the area. There was a lot of rain so it was soggy. A few fairways weren't in good condition but the greens were nice.
The cart path is HORRIBLE and needs repair. Very unpleasant ride on the beat up cart path
The course has a variety of interesting holes, some hard, but mostly it's not extremely challenging. It was fun though.
