Very nice course to play. Fair but definetly a challenge.
Great friendly staff, nice greens, super fairways with excellent yardage markers. Took 5 hours because of inexperienced players in a vacation hot spot. Enjoyed it much better than Gatlinburg golf Club because course was more forgiving. Would recommend to any golfer to play the Highlands course..
Improvements to the course makes it more desirable to play again.
Course has improved tremendously since I last played several years ago. I really liked it. Looking forward to playing it again on my next trip to the Sevierville area and I will recommend it to my friends.
Played the Highlands Course. Great design. Fabulous views of the nearby mountains.
Course was in great condition, Had to keep carts on the path due to recent rainfall. Visit the area about twice a year and always try and schedule a round of golf at this particular course.
Great golf course and facility
We played both courses (River/ Highland). Both courses are in great shape. The River is the longer of the two but the Highlands requires more accuracy. I personally preferred the Highlands but you cannot go wrong with either course. On both courses, you will not be anywhere near the clubhouse after nine and we only saw the beverage cart 1 time total for both rounds. So you might take some water with you!
I definitely will recommend and hopefully play again!
Fun Layout in good condition. Watch where you are going easy to get lost
Will play it again when I' m in the area. Bermuda surrounding the greens was difficult to play out of
Had really good time!
The course was in great shape considering all the rain we had. I was playing by myself, and the starter hooked me up with another player that was the same handicap as me, so we had a really good time. the conditions were good and greens were smooth except for where people weren't replacing their ball marks. other than that this course is doing everything right, and it shows. will play again as soon as I can.
Great course at a great value.
Course is very interesting ad super-well maintained. Hoes are challeging but fair. Greens were some of the best I have ever seen. Go there and enjoy;
Great day,
course is in great shape, people were wonderful. I would definately play this course again
Beautiful practice range pristine fairways and greens.
I've played all the courses in the area. This one is the best by far.
Nice course for the price paid.
The Sevierville Highlands Course was a great value for the price booked on GolfNow. The first few holes were exceptionally nice though the holes across the road were also good that a little more demanding.
Really???
There was a eightsome in front of us in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Yes, an EIGHTSOME! Rangers nowhere to be found. All the course said was that's bad. No, "I'm sorry!" No, "would you like a refund?" Nothing!!!
The course is not pristine but it is very well maintained. It is hard for an average player and that is why I would not recommend it to my friends.
The fairways are rolling and have tight lies. There is water on every hole except one and it has out of bounds as I remember. There are plenty of bunkers too. The greens are set on elevations so you have to fly the ball to the greens in most cases. The greens are firm and very undulating and hard to hold. We were told the greens have not been aerated yet so that could change the firmness. If you are a better than average player you would like the course I think.
Beautiful course
Great scenery and challenging holes. The course is very well maintained and run. The people there are always nice and knowledgable.
Accuracy off the tee is a must, then enjoy the fast greens!
I played this course while on vacation and loved it! The course is in really good shape and appears to only need another week or two to be completely out of dormancy. The tee shots require you to think. The landing areas are not small but the course does not allow you to just swing away. The fairways, including the rough and bunkers are well maintained. Minor drainage issues on 2 or 3 holes but nothing major. The greens are in excellent shape and roll fast and smooth. There are a few well placed green side bunkers but the defense strategy is simple. Slightly undersized greens, lots of undulation and really quick. The greens held well to be as firm as they were. Only once on 5 iron from 195 did I hit a green and not hold it. The course maintenance crew was incredible. They stopped for every shot, complimented good shots and even asked along the way about the conditions of the course. They truly cared about their course. For the money the value was excellent and I will return the next time I'm in town.
The highland course is a beautiful layout.
The last 13 holes meander through the foothills with beautiful homes and changes in elevations throughout. I enjoyed the course except for the extreme firmness of the greens which could be caused by the time of year. The Staff was very cordial and helpful. The facility was top notch.
My round took 5 1/2 hours, which is too long for me but it was cart path only that day which adds to the time. But I believe the course was overbooked for its difficulty.
A warm day with new friends
Great value for a well maintained course which hosted the SAC college tournament the same day.I was paired with three people who had never been to this course before. We had a good round and everyone was amazed at the Spring grandeur abound in East Tenn.
This is a great course to play.
I play this course several times a year. It is always well maintain and has one of the friendliest staffs around.
this course has an excellent layout
the staff was helpful and friendly.
the course was well maintained
the difficulty factor was there by means of having to think your shot out before just going ahead and hitting it as far as you can
Nice course
Good practice facilities. Grass was in dormant stage, so was brown except for greens. Greens were FAST, wow! I would play again.
Very soppy. Bad drainage
Was supposed to play the highlands course. When I arrived, the told me that I had to play the river. Course was super wet and it hadn't rained in 4 days. No water drainage on the course. Cart path only..I thought they might give us a discount for not letting us play the right course and having to be on the cart path only, but guess not..course was a good layout. Greens were great and true. Work needs to be done to deal with excessive water.
