Great layout
This course and it's sister course are the best value for the money in East Tennessee. If you've been on any golf trip this will remind you of those courses.
Great golf in the Smokies
Tee time set on line and reservation was ready. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Course was in great condition. Not difficult when you hit your ball where you are supposed to but it will eat your lunch if you stray. Very nice track to play when in Sevierville area.

Play at your own golf sanity
A fantastic challenge of golf skill. The player must have an array of shots to play this course . Chipping and putting will make the difference. These greens were very receptive to the high soft iron from the fairway. What a test it is to run chips from off the greens . Certainly putting these fast surfaces could cause golf hysteria. I believe both venues are among the best places to play.
Good Course, even in scorching weather
I played this course in July on a day that was well over 100 degrees, and still very much enjoyed it. The staff could have been a little bit friendlier, but they got the job done. The course was absolutely beautiful and well maintained, even given the extreme weather. I found the course very challenging.
great course to play will really challenge your game
had a great round. don't hit in rough, your ball will not be found
wife had eagle on hole 17
Highlands on the greens too!
With the addition of 36 holes at the Sevierville Golf Club, the foothills of the Smoky Mountains has become a great golf destination. The Highlands course offers quite the challenge. The terrain is very scenic. Hitting the ball straight is recommended. Not to long makes one hopeful of a low round. However, the challenge around and on the greens adds a difficult yet fun twist. The undulating greens and unpredictable speed make this course worthy of a tatanic challenge. I can't wait for my next trip to the Highlands of Sevierville. Don't forget to make a 36 hole trip and play the River Course (aka the BEAST).
Sevierville Golf Club/Highlands - Very nice course
Very nice course. Many challenging holes, but very fair. We really enjoyed playing there, especially with the great rate we got thru golfnow.com.

Loved this course....couldn't have been in a better shape.
We loved this golf course. In perfect shape. Staff extremely nice and couldn't have asked for anything more.
enjoy the views and condition of course
course is not difficult when considering length. however, layout and green design require attention to where to land. would be difficult for any golfer who shoots in mid nineties. Challenging is a good word for it. So many different looks, you feel like each hole is unique. I like the course alot.
Beautiful and Inviting!
This is hands down one of the best courses in East Tennessee! I've played many courses around the area and either felt that I've paid too much and not gotten enough or paid too little and got an under maintained course along with sub par customer service. SGC has it all for a great price! I average paying $28 through GolfNow for 18 and a cart.
The holes are challenging but, fun and the grounds are immaculate. The customer service is second to none in the area. I've played at over priced courses and been treated like I was not worthy of stepping foot on the grounds but the staff at this course makes you feel right at home and are more than happy to assist you in any way.
The pace of play is well kept and the "beer girls" are pretty regular and consistent.
The club house is amazing and has plenty of the standard amenities most courses offer but this one even has a reception hall for large functions, a restaurant and a well stocked pro shop.
I've been singing the praises of SGC since I first stepped foot there about 3 months back and subsequently have been back for a total of 4 rounds since then.
My new home away from home. I highly recommended you play there at least once. You'll be glad you did.
Excellent shape
Excellent experience. Staff is great, course is in great shape.
This is a very challenging course.
I felt like this course was pretty difficult and would be for most any golfer. The greens are especially challenging as most of them are pretty hilly. The signage to get around the course was a bit lacking in some areas and it would have been nice, having never played the course, to have a small map of the course either on the score card or as a separate handout.
This course has great risk/reward features.
Tough but challenging, this course makes you think and mange your game
Best value for a top notch course in this area.
Everything you would expect in a first class resort golf course. All aspects (tee boxes, fairways, greens and sand traps) are always in excellent condition. I have recommended this course to many friends and acquaintances and will continue to do so. Despite the extra drive time, this has become my favorite course in the greater Knoxville area.
Two courses in one...
Playing this course is an act of kindness to your game; a subtle almost flat links style is predominate through the first six holes of the Highlands course, each fairway bordered by
undulating mounds and water in play on all but two holes. The day we played the course was pristine, fairways in excellent shape, greens manicured and somewhat fast due to a great combination of rain and sunshine during the month of
August. Moving from the first six to the "highlands" part of the course gives a decent golfer the chance to use all the clubs in the bag, work the ball and makes shot placement key.
Well maintained course
Only played course one time while on a military reunion of the 552nd Military Police Company (Vietnam Veterans). Enjoyed the course and would play it again if I ever travel from Texas to Tennessee.
Great Improvements
I wish the ratings bars had more than just three settings, I feel that the course was probably better than my review implies. I do not feel that it was the best course i have ever played but it was one of the best ones in the area. I have played almost all of the courses from knox, blount, and sevier county and fell that for the money this course was better than all the rest, even with the greens being aerated just a week before.
I will say the new layout was a little confusing with the two courses crossing over each other as they did. But they did a pretty good job of putting signs out to direct you. If there were no signs, we probably would have teed off in the wrong place two or three times.
I will definitely play there again.
Also, beware of the golfnow.com fee. I was under the impression that it was a partial deposit that would be credited to us at the course. It was not, we had tto pay the couple of dollars fee to golfnow.com then pay the full discount price that was displayed on the website once we got to the course. That was a little misleading.
This course has beautiful screnery.
Check-in was fast and easy. Very courtesy staff met us at the car and loaded our equipment. Beautiful course, very well maintained. Cart path resembles the moutain screnery. Challenging course design. Super discounted price. Thank You Golf Now awesome experience.
