The course had just been conducted aerification on the greens. Some fairways were dyed green ( Dormant Bermuda) otheres were not.

Nice Layout on Woodlawn
I play Ft Belvoir because I like the challenging layout. However, yesterday I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the front nine greens. I don’t think they’ve been blown off in months. They were covered with oak (helicopter) seeds, pine needles and leaves, making them completely un-uttable.. The back nine greens were clean. Other than this problem it was a nice day of golf.

Nice place, not too $$ either. For the better player, Woodlawn is the course to play. Gunston is a bit too easy. You also get to meet lots of retired military folks which is always a good thing. It's definiteley better than the course at Quantico (Medal of Honor). That course is farther south and takes longer to get to the parking lot once you get a pass.
