Great Course for Value
Lakeview is a very nice course, good layout, good conditions, lots of challenging holes. There are three nine-hole courses, which allows uncrowded play. Rates are very reasonable, particularly if you use Golf Now or other online booking. Terrain and mountain views are outstanding. Carts could stand some upgrading.
Are you kidding me?
Need to get wayyyyy better at scheduling tee times. If you’re busy then say it. Don’t have the first tee box lined up with multiple groups waiting to play. Constantly somebody in front or behind of you either holding you up or waiting to be able to play forcing everybody to be in a hurry. I thought golf was leisure? On top of that they closed the snack bar at noon because there was thunder for 5 minutes. Lazy, unorganized, and hectic among other things.

Lakeview Golf Club
Beautiful course. It's easy to make tee times and the folks who work in the clubhouse are very hospitable. There's a great menu to choose from at the snack bar. I would recommend Lakeview to anyone living or traveling through the Shenandoah Valley.

Beware of Starter
Was assigned to play “Peak” course. The starter asked why I was there. I told him this is where I was told I could play. After teeing off the starter returns asking me to move to the Mountain course. I explained that I was told to play the Peak. He leaves. Two minutes later he returns telling me I have to stop and go to the Mountain course because another group was to start in five minutes. I explained that I paid to play the course just like the other party. The starter said that wasn’t the point. It is exactly the point. What makes one group more important? I moved to the Mountain course on the condition that the starter stayed away from me and end the harassment.

Shouldn't take 4.5 hours to play 18
Overall I enjoy Lakeview but hadn't played here since early in 2021. Course was in decent shape but the greens were hard and very slow and needed to be mowed. Slow groups on a very busy day could have used a course marshal to keep the pace of play up or suggest letting faster groups play through. Didn't see any staff outside of the club house monitoring pace of play.

Great Value Course with Beautiful Views
Been playing here 3 years now and you just can’t beat the price to course conditions. They have 27 holes and the “Mountain” course is by far my favorite. Staff is great.

Lakeview
Course conditions were only average as compared to other courses. Location was great. 57 degrees and Sunny were great for me and meant not a lot of other golfers therefore pace of play was fabulous.

Not good service
I had called ahead of time and booked a tee time and also let them know that we would need to rent a set of left handed golf clubs. The lady I spoke to said it would not be a problem, and she marked it down with my tee time. When we arrived, I was told that the only set left handed clubs had just left out on the course. We didn't get to end up playing any holes because I couldn't wait around, nor did I want to wait around at least a few hours for them. I was spoken to in a very demeaning way when clearly there was a lack of communication on their end. It didn't end up mattering because we couldn't get the clubs, but they were also out of carts, when I had also already booked a tee time, with a cart.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Our carts and club rentals are on a first some first serve basis. We apologize if that was not communicated properly prior to your tee time, and we're sorry that your experience was less than 5 stars. First 18 holes
Local course we t out for my first 18 holes of my life. Found the slopes quite challenging but fun. Was a bit surprised that the greens had some dead spots but we have not had the best summer in the area drought followed by flooding. The staff was excellent and told me everything I needed to know. I was behind a group of college kids that were drinking and took forever which would be my biggest complaint spent a lot of time waiting.

Recommend this course highly for the price. Course in fine condition, ball rolls pure if you read it properly. Greens in excellent shape. Will always play this property when in this area. Pro shop was super nice as usual. Thanks for letting me play
