Lake of the Woods Country Club

There are definitely some great holes, and some difficult greens! Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape however it is just the beginning of the season. However the location is inaccurate on “golf now” so you need to punch it in on your own maps system

Playe course in the fall when ground was hard from lack of rain and leaves were on the ground. Played from the white tees which is a good distance for me. Given the conditions and roll of ball didn’t need to hit driver much. A number of doglegs with out of bounds left and right due to houses makes driving challenging. Greens rolled good. Overall enjoyed my round.

Nice course layout, too many leaves. The greens were fine, no problem.

It is such a shame that course is as pretty as this is so poorly maintained, as well as worked by such ignorant people, our whole entire round consisted of employees hovering over us, Carolyn repeatedly confronted us and was very rude and continued to argue with us about pace of play although we were not the issue, the course was completely overbooked, and the way that the situation was handled was horrible, I will never be returning and I caution anyone who thinks of playing here.

I played the front 9 at the course before it started to get cloudy and they called us in for weather. I received a rain check for the back 9. Upon trying to use the rain check they said I could only do the front 9, not the back 9. If I wanted to do the back 9 I would have to book another 18 which I couldn't use the rain check for. The front 9 of the course was in bad condition when I played it so I was hoping the back 9 was better. I have been working on going to all the golf courses in the area and the conditions and hospitality at this course is by far the worst in the area.

I first played this golf course in the mid 1970's and didn't remember much about it. When I played it yesterday, I had a very nice experience with the staff and those I was paired with. There are trees on every hole but the fairways are wide enough to allow for some inaccuracies. The fairways are Bermuda grass and in good condition. The greens have bent grass, were in good condition, medium speed and they would hold a shot. The bunkers have nice white sand.

I really enjoyed my round here, course is challenging but fair. I really like the layout.

Course layout was nice. There's some blind tee shots that'll get you into trouble if you don't know the course. The front nine pace was great but the back nine was very slow. There were back-to-back groups of Twosomes that held everyone up. It was Father's Day and the fathers were teaching their sons how to golf. The last 6 holes were painfully slow. The ranger could've done a better job with the pace of play. Btw, there's no driving range only a hitting mat into a net.

The track was enjoyable. There are a handful of blind tee shots that will get you out of position quick! Due to it being Father's Day the pace was very slow on the back nine. Back to back twosomes had sons that never played out on a course. The ranger could've done a better job with the pace of play.
