Golfer Reviews
A fair course with a layout that makes you hit different shots. Not too long. Good for all ability levels
The course, staff, and members were all exceptional.
The PGA Pro, Mike practically took me by the hand, pointing out the driving range, location of #1 & #10 tees, the ball dispenser and how to work it, practice green, and which cart I would be using. The member I was paired with, Ralph was just as accommodating and friendly, and a heck of a good caddy pointing out good layup spots, unseen hazards, and angles for my next shot. The course lends itself to different clubs of the tee, lots of risk reward options, and at the same time being very playable. A truly wonderful day.
Slow play
Nice course layout but fairways are dormant and hard as a brick. No staff on the course during the entire 18. Very slow pace of play for only 6000 yards. They send twosomes out one after the other then jam a foursome somewhere in the middle. Five plus hours was a bit ridiculous. They are obviously understaffed. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you get a deal and there are no other options.
Enjoyable
Nice course. Narrow fairways , not very hilly, with plenty of water to challenge errant shots. #16 par 3 is a challenge as is #9 a par 4. Front nine is more open than back nine. Due to topography it can be wet after lots of rain.
Great layout, fun round
Other than getting stuck behind three gentlemen (whom I was originally supposed to tee off with), thoroughly enjoyed the course and experience
Great course and staff
The proshop attented was very friendly and gave us information on the course sine we nevered played this course before. The course layout was very nice and the course was in very good condition.
Great Course
Very nice course. Fairly short, challenging, but not too bad. Friendly staff and great facilities. Food was good and beer was cold. Only concern was pace of play. There was a foursome of amatures who didnt understand the concept of ready golf and were holding up 4 groups behind them. It took about 4 holes for the ranger to speed them up and thankful for that. Well managed. Putting greens were very nice and fairways were plush. Rough was well kept.
Face full of mud
Played this course in late April when I would have expected at least OK conditions. Most of the fairways and tee boxes were mud. I actually found myself moving my ball to the rough to get a better lie. How sad is that! The greens were OK and I enjoy the layout (except the 9th hole - limit tee shot to 200 yards to avoid water and then still have 200 to the green on a par 4??). I wont be back until I see some reviews here that say they have better conditions than muddy fairways and sand/mud tee boxes.
