Lake Monticello Golf Course

The course was in good shape other than a few tee boxes. The greens were full of divots from people not repairing. They really need to get rangers out badly. The pace of play was excruciating. It took 6hr and 45min for us to get through 18. The group in front of us were making social media videos and posts, editing, and playing multiple balls for all 4 of them. They refused to let anyone play through because it would "ruin their videos". No one in the clubhouse would answer when called while on the course.

Had an awesome time at this course and can’t wait to bring some friends back to play again. A few narrow holes make it a challenge if you’re not hitting it straight off the tee so keep that in mind when selecting your club. Greens were in great shape and pace of play was very good.

Not a long course but not an easy layout. Some very strategic holes requiring some thought and proper execution on your shots.

One important note: it's a public course in a private gated community. Must call course to get code just to drive in. Other than that. Great course, has some uncomplicated holes, then some difficult holes, must cross water a few times. Lots dog left and right holes. Greens in excellent condition. Would definitely play it again if I'm in the area.

I absolutely love that it was very difficult. I love how they have the scorecard set up so you can play from a yardage that you’re comfortable with. The tea boxes were in good shape. The grays were perfect. I can’t really say enough good things about this golf course I think people that, don’t know what to look for in a good track. Well say this is an average track but I’m telling you this golf. Course is immaculate. I can’t wait to play it again. Just remember if you play this golf course you must ask for the code to get in the gate or the residence will call the sheriff lol other than that I couldn’t find much wrong to say love that 4.5 stars.

4th time playing here and it just gets better. It’s beautiful and challenging and in great condition. Not overly crowded on a Thursday morning. Tucked away in a large, gated, peaceful private community. Used a golf cart but .a push but a pushcart is doable if you’re up for the walk. Lots of hills and territory to cover.

Course was in great shape, Played the front 9 in 1.5 hours (1st player on the course) Back 9 in 2.75 hours (ladies tournament - shotgun). Very picturesque design and an enjoyable challenge to play! If I am in the area, I am definitely going to replay!

I loved the coarse Was in great shape It was a little challenging but it would have been nice to no that you needed a code to get threw the gate to enter which I didn’t have so I had to pull over and call coarse to get in

This one is a hidden gem. New clubhouse w restaurant/bar. Convenient range. Layout was interesting with elevation changes and some really nice holes which required strategy for GIR. Some tee boxes could use some work, but it’s Spring so I’ll give the Turf crew a break. Great value and worth it.

Hand full of par fours that could easily justify as par fives, only complaint. I’m not strong off the tee boxes..
