Sleepy Hole Golf Course

First time playing this course. I come to this area about 3 times a year to visit in-laws. To maintain my sanity, I will spend one day playing golf with friends. I picked this course on GoIf Now due to price and availability. Better than I expected. I will definitely return on another visit. Fairways were descent. But some areas needed trimming. Greens faster than I anticipated from theif looks. No beverage cait. Had to wait until the turn to get something to drink and eat. My Golf Pass app kept up with us the entire round. I need to use more of the app's functions,

Another great day at Sleepy Hole. Being a twosome sandwiched by foursomes felt slow, but completed our round in just over 4 hours. On a holiday weekend (Monday) that was AGAIN, a pleasant surprise.

One request: When reminding players to fix their ball marks and repair their divots, tell them to QUIT DRAGGING THEIR FEET ON THE GREENS. On 14 out of 18 greens, we had to tend to drag marks all over the green. Doing other people's housework takes away from the experience.

I never played where pin positions where changed as we play .. tacky!!!!!

Always enjoy playing this course. Sunday was extremely HOT, course can't control that. Bunkers were all flooded. Biggest issue we had was most coolers had ZERO water. No cart girl at all. Greens were a little slow.

Nice course, friendly staff, good prices, nice layout and fairways. Traps/bunkers had water and mud. Greens were good but players, unfortunately, leave too many ball marks.

First time playing here. Scored terribly and I want a chance at redemption!! Course was in great shape, greens had recently been aerated but they were ok. We played as a twosome but a ranger to speed the group ahead of us along would have been good(they were also a twosome) as there was no one in front of them.

I was unaware that the greens were being aerated and that you were only allowed to play the front 9.

Didn’t know the front nine would be closed due to Aerating. They had a play the back twice which was OK, but not what we were wanting to do.. I don’t know where the communication deal with y’all are with the courses, but would’ve been nice to know in advance before driving all the way out there.

I never had a player intentionally pocket my ball and he pretended it was his... shame shame. He was well out of my range came back looking for his ball found mine and picked it up and the nerve to fix the ball mark what in the world lol lol

Played for the first time. Made it 10 holes before the bottom fell out...absolutely poured so we had to end our round. Wasnt too upset since we had a hot deal price. The course had challenges here and there, but was on the dry side since it hadnt rained in weeks.. Overall was a pretty decent course.

I love the course but due to the lack of rain in Virginia, Most courses are extremely dry and create an on desirable bounce when hitting down with irons especially short irons. Need either rain or wait till the fall for the conditions to really improve.

have played SH several times over the past three years. Kind of a hidden gem, if you don't know about it. Greens are in terrific shape. fairways were hard and fast. (REALLY need some rain here.). Number 18 is one of the great closing holes in the region, bar none.
