Sleepy Hole Golf Course

First off, my tee time 2:28. My two other players showed up and paid and were exiting the pro shop at 2:25 when the starter said hurry up your tee time is 2:26. We were a 3some, he paired us up with a single (an employee) told the single to tee off, and when my friends joined me on the tee box he tells us to just go to no.2 and wait for the single to play the first hole( he was on his second shot into the green at this point) so we go and wait on the 2nd tee box. Oh by the way there’s a tournament going on, as we are on the green putting on no.2 the starter sends a twosome to no.3 so and they are a couple of young kids who sliced 4 balls off the tee box. So now we’re waiting on them. As we are on the green on no.6 putting there were two tee shots that land on the green and almost hit us, which they hit over green on no.7 which is prohibited to cut the corner. Once they pulled up it was a guy who worked there and he began to apologize and said he would get us a free round to come back. Well by the time we finally finished it’s was 7:05pm and that worker was nowhere to be found. I can tell if you’re not a member or a regular there then you’re a nobody. I’ll stay at my home course from now on.

Course looked great, greens were nice. Incredible value!

A hidden gem. A wonderful drive up the long tree lined driveway to the clubhouse. Course conditions were excellent except for a few burned out areas on some greens. Great scenery, nice layout friendly staff.

Rained the whole time. Staff was great. Had a foursome ahead of us (a twosome) who wouldn’t let us through. They had no one in front of them.

Still finished in 4 hours.

Course was in good shape. Greens need some more work. It’s out of the way from Virginia Beach, but definitely a course I will be back too.

We had a great experience. Staff was super friendly. It was a fun track, corse was in fair shape.

The course was in fantastic shape. All the bunkers have been filed with new sand. The greens are perfect. Nice carts. Good grille and staff. Really good experience there.

Booked a tee time for Friday June 17th. Arrived to find tents, signs and a group going off for a tournament. The not sop friendly gentleman in the Pro Shop said "It won't cause an issue." It took us the same amount of time to play the last 5 holes as it did to play the front 9! That is way too slow!!!! I guess we have to call ahead top see if they have a tournament going on the same time as we want to play??? WHY???

Played with a friend and staff very courteous. Love the course! Greens run true. Live in the HR area and will be back.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The weather today was perfect. Sunshine with a slight breeze to start that picked up some as the round went on. TI thought the course was in great shape. This course has one of the best finishing holes around. Now for the negative. The pace of play was horrendous. It took 2 hours to get through 5 holes. Now we all understood it was going to be slow going with such great weather. However, never in our wildest dream did we think it would take 5 1/2 hours to play 18. Hopefully the next time we play this course things will be better. I would like to think this was just a one off.
