Suffolk Golf Course

The best day golfing for me thus far! Rain and wind had cancelled a tournament and most folks stayed home in their warm houses. I had a reservation so I was going to golf no matter what. It was wet, windy and cold but I pretty much had the course all to myself and only saw a small handful of golfers. The fairway was wet but the greens are the best I've seen in Hampton Roads! The staff was super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE!

The staff is outstanding, the course is well maintained, and the cost is more than fair. I have golfed at eleven different golf courses in Hampton Roads this year. The staff at the Suffolk Golf Course is by far the most friendly, accomodating, and professional I have encountered all season. I could golf at plenty of different golf courses, but their cheerful demeanors, welcoming smiles, sense of humor, and excellent customer service keeps me coming back. I have no problem driving 40 minutes to get to Suffolk when there is a golf course only ten minutes from my home.

For a course built in 1951, it's still a great track even with the new technology in equipment, ya really can use every club in your bag, and shape shots like golf should be played. The good condition of the course made for a great day with Magirl. And golfnow makes it a great value, and sometimes most times pairs you up with some great people.

Suffolk golf course course was in great shape love the layout had a great time

Visiting my son for weekend and 3rd visit this year to Suffolk GC. First time being first off the tee to start day at Course once fog lifted I enjoyed the fabulous conditions of the course. Greens were true and firm , pace of play.....well I set it being the first, but I love the course and always seem to land a great deal down this area on my visits. Being from Pittsburgh the courses are starting to close up this time of year, so a visit to this area and seeing the great people of Virginia is always a great weekend.

The course is good and the conditions are good. Their tee time policy sucks. You want people to give a credit card. number over the phone or charge a convenience fee of almost 20.00 just to use the website to make a tee time. It’s a shame because I like the course and was willing to drive from VA BCH to play there. I won’t pay those fees when I can play other places that don’t have those policies.

The greens were in excellent shape, the fairways were pretty good, and the tee boxes were pretty bad. It’s a fun layout overall, and most holes should be a fair challenge for the average golfer.

The course is great, the bathroom between hole 6 and hole 17 could use some TLC.
