Suffolk Golf Course

Played from the Tips today (Handicap -10). Course wasn’t too difficult. Never recommend walking. A lot of holes are playing up and down. There are a few 90 degree doglegs on the back 9. Greens were rolling pretty smooth for morning conditions. Not A whole lot Ohhhhhh Laaaa Laaaa moments for this course. If you are looking for that course, head over to Sleepy Hole. I Teed off at 9am and finished around 1. No Starter but no issue. Would play here again.

Playing golf in Tidewater is great however, Suffolk golf Course was the best I have played on. I thought it was most well maintained and beautiful course in the area. It was challenging to say the least. If you want a change of pace this curse has lots of challenges that I haven't experienced anywhere else in Tidewater.

The course was in great shape, the greens were rolling nicely. Played on a Sunday at 2 PM. With no one in front or behind us!

My first time here and it's a pretty nice course. It has been very hot the last 2 - 3 weeks so there are some dry areas in the fairways, but it's not bad. My only real complaint would be that the tee boxes are dry and it's very hard to place a tee in many of them. A little more water would be helpful. The greens were aerated probably 2 - 3 weeks ago and are almost completely grown back in. They were rolling a little slow, although they were mostly smooth & true. If the course could coax a little rain, it would be excellent. The staff was really friendly, too. A nice track, overall

Even in the middle of this drought the coarse was in better then average condition. It was dry but the coarse was really fun to play. In another week or two the greens should be back from being aerated. Will play again for sure.

The hot price was worth it but the greens had been seeded recently and putting was a nightmare more than it typically already is.

Terrible conditions. Didn’t know front was closed for punching but that has to be done so no issue. In pro shop attendant was on the speaker phone with another working talking about a female worker that wasn’t showing up for work. Finally he got to us and got us going. Out tee time was 9am but he told us to go ahead at 830 so we did. We played hole 10 and then ran into a total log jam. Waited 20 minutes to tee off on 11. We finally quit after 1 hour and 3 holes finished. On our way in, there were singles and 2’s all the way in. Horribly managed.m that day. Course is not pristine or even nice but it’s cheap to play so no issue there.

First time golfing here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wide fairways and the course made you think.

Course in pretty good shape but the fairways needed mowing. Pace of play on back 9 was a problem. As a threesome we played front 9 in 1:20. Took 2:45 to play back 9. Good value for the money. Really needs a Marshall on Holidays and weekends to move the slow players along.

Very fun and challenging course. Bermuda greens that are in great condition. I’ll play again for sure!

The course was in good condition! Not a long course. Fairways and greens were in good shape!

On and off rain so no pace issues. The greens could be softer but overall one of the nicest courses in Hampton roads for the money!

This course has a nice layout. A good mix of challenging and more straight forward holes. I would say that the greens are slower than average but they are consistent throughout. Nice views and well maintained throughout. Worth the 40 minute drive for me!
