Suffolk Golf Course

Course was in great condition despite the rain the day before. New greens still need to grow in a little more but still rolled true and med. fast. Staff was very friendly as usual.

The course was an average course. I only played it because I was on my way out of town. It was a decent course for the money. I wouldn't pay more than 30$ to play there.

i enjoyed the course layout. several challenging holes where tee shot placement was a must. The greens were in less than good condition and need some work. Still, the layout didn't include house lined fairways and offered picturesque views. i will definitely play again.

Extremely wet and in need of work. I know they were working on the course but it was real bad shape

When I played they had Temporary Green, 40 yards short of the Real Greens, made of Fairway Grass. Made Putting very difficult, but okay for Temp Greens. All and All Nice Course and the New Greens Look VERY Nice and set to Open 8/17/2013 … For Price and Course Layout, I would Recommend giving this Course a Go …

Nice layout and freindly staff. A great experience. Course was undergoing replacement of greens. Played on temp greens for all 18. This did not really impact the experience. Greens set to reopen on august 17. My group is planning to return in the fall.

Course was well maintained. Had a mix of wide open fairways and some tight fairways. Fairways need a little work but overall not real bad. Greens were being worked on but will be finished in a couple of weeks, August 17,2013 is the target date. Overall we really liked the course and will golf here again.

Greens-It would not be fair for me to comment. They are being worked on, but look like they are slow greens as a rule.

Temporary greens on every hole...waste of time and money. You get what you pay for and to have driven out form VB to this course was a disappointing day of golf...also the lady at the kitchen was rude when we asked for a hot dog and the facilities are out of the 1970s...Suffolk will not be on list of courses to play this year.

The temp greens were bad, worst I've ever seen. Lousy fairway greens mowed short

Cow pasture golf course. Truly an 8 dollar course. Driving range looked like an old corn field

This course is under construction and should be 5 dollars for 18 to holes to get your money worth.

The staff here is the friendliest in the area! A city run course that's in better condition that some of the more expensive courses!

Over the last week the grass on the greens was sprayed with round up in order to kill them off for future replacement. I have played this course many times and would recommend it to everyone once the new greens are in place. Worth playing at reduced rates only.

I enjoyed playing at Suffolk Golf Course. Presently, the Greens are being replanted. They will be using temporary greens, starting 3rd week of June

The course will be redoing the greens this summer, and it's a good thing. Don't bother playing until they are back up in the fall. The fairways are hard as a rock (as are the greens) which made me wonder if they ever irrigate.
They stack tee times one on top of the other, and with the extremely difficult playing conditions, you can expect a very long day.

Played this course because of the reviews. The greens on the course were very poor. The bunkers were also very poor, for 18 dollars you are getting what you pay for. The course layout is pretty fun, you will play a lot of different shots on this course. If you want to play golf for under twenty dollars on the weekend play here, but other than that it's not worth the drive for some people.

Course was in really good shape. I have played it several times and this is the best by far. The are obviously working hard to keep it up now. Great value, and the staff was great.

i play this course 20 plus times a year and this is the best condition that i have see it in . lot of my friends like this course.
