Wide open, fairways were a little over grown, greens In good shape.

Cant beat this course at 33$ on a weekend rate, thats not even hot deal. thThe course was in pretty good shape. tThe fairways are decent, The greens though are being aerated are ar a 6/10. A few greens have dead grass and bald spots. Beautiful scenery made up for it by far and the course strolls along very nicely.

Greens were awful. I had to club down because the greens weren't holding any shots. Even on high approach shots with my 56 deg wedge...would land and bounce forward 10 feet...I would not recommend this course to anyone in the condition it's in. Oh and dont bother lining up putts...as they will not keep their lines. Do not pay more than $25 for a round there.

Read about the new greens and was anxious to see how they were. Unfortunately the day we chose is the day the grounds crew had chosen to put a sand top-dressing on all the greens. This made them difficult to read and they were pretty fast, too. My brother and I started on the back 9, while the front was being top-dressed. We got to the front side and on holes 7,8, and 9, the crew had not replaced the flag sticks! We drove the cart up and replaced them on 7 & 8 and caught the attention of a member of the crew on number 9 who replaced the flag stick there. The same thing happened on number 15. A member of the crew drove up and replaced the flag stick after we hit our approach shots. I guess because of the rain lately the fairways hadn't been cut, but were otherwise OK. Will definitely go back in the fall as the layout is a pleasure to play.

Had a great time...attractive some short holes and some tough decisions on going for it or laying up. Friendly staff and new greens.

Although the greens are new still need some work to be pristine.

Course just reopened after redoing the greens. They still need to be worked on, but we love playing there.

Course has an interesting layout. The greens are still in fairly poor shape even after "supposedly" rebuilding them. Maybe they need to grow in some more. They were spotty in many places, and the grass was pretty long, which made them slow.
The sand traps are almost void of any sand, and they are in dire need of replenishment. The fairways were in excellent shape for the most part. I will wait another 2-3 months and go back and see what improvements have been made to the greens and bunkers.

The newly renovated greens are in good shape. Course has wide fairways which are very friendly to amateurs.

Booked tee time as a super saver-would not pay regular price for the condition of the course at this time. Condition should be better this fall. The area has had a lot of rain this summer and the course needs attention!

Course was in great condition despite the rain the day before. New greens still need to grow in a little more but still rolled true and med. fast. Staff was very friendly as usual.

The course was an average course. I only played it because I was on my way out of town. It was a decent course for the money. I wouldn't pay more than 30$ to play there.

i enjoyed the course layout. several challenging holes where tee shot placement was a must. The greens were in less than good condition and need some work. Still, the layout didn't include house lined fairways and offered picturesque views. i will definitely play again.

Extremely wet and in need of work. I know they were working on the course but it was real bad shape

When I played they had Temporary Green, 40 yards short of the Real Greens, made of Fairway Grass. Made Putting very difficult, but okay for Temp Greens. All and All Nice Course and the New Greens Look VERY Nice and set to Open 8/17/2013 … For Price and Course Layout, I would Recommend giving this Course a Go …

Nice layout and freindly staff. A great experience. Course was undergoing replacement of greens. Played on temp greens for all 18. This did not really impact the experience. Greens set to reopen on august 17. My group is planning to return in the fall.

Course was well maintained. Had a mix of wide open fairways and some tight fairways. Fairways need a little work but overall not real bad. Greens were being worked on but will be finished in a couple of weeks, August 17,2013 is the target date. Overall we really liked the course and will golf here again.

Greens-It would not be fair for me to comment. They are being worked on, but look like they are slow greens as a rule.

Temporary greens on every hole...waste of time and money. You get what you pay for and to have driven out form VB to this course was a disappointing day of golf...also the lady at the kitchen was rude when we asked for a hot dog and the facilities are out of the 1970s...Suffolk will not be on list of courses to play this year.

The temp greens were bad, worst I've ever seen. Lousy fairway greens mowed short
