Fun afternoon golf session
Staff was super friendly and made even us not so great players feel welcome. Course was fun front 9 with the back 9 being a little more challenging but fun. Great course, definetly coming back soon.
A general lack of greenskeeping
Fairways were in a general good condition. Tee’s and greens were in a general poor condition. Sand traps were a joke!
Very slow pace of play. No marshal observed!
enjoyable day
Slow foursome ahead of me but no one behind so had time to practice chips and putts.
Greens very slow but hot weather had them mowing higher than normal.
Well kept muni.
Overall, very enjoyable round.

It was ok…
Greens were covered in sand and tee box were hard packed. Should have brought a drill
The staff was incredibly nice and we had a fun time. Our only problem was not knowing about the just aerated greens...

Course conditions are just horrible
Course conditions are horrible greens are not kept at all it seams like and the fairways feel like you are hitting of the dirt everytime and tee box’s are uneven but for the price I guess that it is to be expected

Challenging but fun!
I just moved from San Diego. I am playing different courses to experience what Hampton Roads has to offer. Kempsville Greens was very enjoyable to play on. The course is a little challenging and it requires some clean shots to keep the ball in play. The water can be a challenge so be wary of that. The greens are in pretty good shape. The wildlife brought a smile to my face. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was pointed in the right direction. I plan on making a return trip soon:-)
