Short in legnth - greens in pretty good shape.
Sand traps were in pretty bad shape. No fresh sand and size of traps had been downsized in half.
Fortunately I didn't land in any !! Not sure why, but it seems like they had given up on maintaining them .
Very nice fairways, super friendly staff. Tee boxes could use some work.
Some of the tee boxes we couldn’t even get a tee in the ground. Only complaint though very nice course

The last three times I tried to load golfnow when I tried to pick my tee time the site said page was not available. This happened June 1,2 and 3
Better than some
The fairways and greens on this course are in very good shape. Luckily, I didn't find but 1 bunker which wasn't in bad shape, but it wasn't in great shape either. I have found over the past few months that many courses are not putting much effort into their sand traps. Some have little sand mixed with earth and in many cases, hard as a rock. Our foursome found that to be the case here. A number of tee boxes were showing some wear. Overall, fun course to play....
Fun course
First time playing this one. Really enjoyed it. Layout was cool and the holes were challenging. Course was in pretty good condition. I’ll definitely come back here.
Kempsville Greens
Had a good time. Greens not bad. Fairways, grass a little sparse in some areas.
Nice Course & Good Value
I have played at Kempsville Greens many times and I always enjoy playing there. They do a pretty good job at course maintenance and conditions. It was a nice day and I had a good time with my playing partner, Devon, who they paired me with. I had a good value with a TeeOff rate of $23.

Decent course
I'm new to the area and have only played bow creek once, and will never go back, but I would definitely replay kempsville.

Enjoyable Course
Early round, overcast conditions and a lot of rain in the two or three days prior to playing, but what a great little course this was to play.
The course is challenging enough to keep you interested without being too much of a challenge to novice golfers (me)... Starting you off with water down the right off the first fairway, water becomes a challenge at a number of courses (lost many balls at the 17th and 18th holes)...
A lot better than I had anticipated this course being, frustrating couple in front of me that wouldn't allow me to play through them despite playing very slowly but such is life.
Greens are in great condition, but as with a lot of courses in the area, I'd like to see them reinstate some of the bunkers that they have taken away.
I will definitely be back for another round or two this summer.

Great course but...
Course is amazing minus the over ambitious marshals. Due to overbooking, we were constantly being rushed as soon as we stepped on the course. While playing at a moderate pace, we received a warning when we had no one waiting behind us. The worst part is, I felt like I was being spoken down to like I was a child. I wish I had a different experience; it was a course I would have gone back to.

Great Small Course.
Played 9 holes after 3pm. Price was $18 w/ cart included. Greens were slow but that was to be expected after 3 days of rain. Course was in good shape and pace of play was more than reasonable. Some holes can be tricky with small bodies of water that poke out into the fairway but are not visible from the tee box. Course can play a little on the short end for the longer hitter but can challenge your approach and short game. Course was worth the greens fee and would play again.
