About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

great course great rates
always enjoy playing here. don't let yardage fool you, very challenging,rates can't be beat, normal or hot deal.
Must play
I haddent played here in a year, still in excellent condition. Extremely well kept! Some holes are wide open and some a little tight but all interesting. This is a must play course! Also nice practice area. The grounds keepers do a fantastic job.
Always a good time
I always enjoy playing prairie woods. The staff is friendly. Fees are good for the quality of the course. Fairways and greens always look good. The layout is challenging for new and experienced players.

Great value and the staff was super friendly. Me and my went and played 9 on a Saturday afternoon and it was perfect. Nice layout and the staff was sensational. Can't wait to go back.

Course was in good condition. Staff is extremely friendly! And driving range available with balls there’s a pregame warm-up very nice! Highly recommend
Nice quiet walk on a Sunday morning
They let me walk the back nine at 8 on Sunday. It was very quiet, and I was able to take as much time as I needed, since there was no one else out on a cool April morning. I shot bogey golf in 1.5 hours.
The course was in good condition for springtime.
The pins were out on some of the holes, which made it impossible to see the hole location, but I'm not good enough to hit the stick so it didn't matter too much.
The worms were plentiful. My putts probably hit 30 worms in nine holes.
Nice course. Great value. I'll be back there.
Hidden Gem
I don’t even know how I discovered this course but it is an absolute hidden gem. Barely an hour drive from the NW Chicago burbs. Challenging yet fun, affordable & a gorgeous course. This will for sure be one of my go to courses.
A lot of fun!
I live outside of Madison, and have many golfing friends in the Chicago area. This course is exactly half way between the two. We have been unable to find a course this nice for the cost of play. We play there at least 2 to 3 times a year. We have paid more for a lesser quality course
