DeBary Golf & Country Club
About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

SLOOOOWWW
Pace of play was horrible. Over 6 hrs to play a round and that was only because groups ahead of us left. Nothing against old people but there were three groups of old ladies holding the whole course up. Won’t be back here
Ok layout, fast greens
Course conditions are ok, greens are fast but bumpy. A lot of ball marks not repaired. A couple real slow groups jammed up the hole course from number one. Waited to hit on ever shot gave up after 13.
Thank you for your review! We're pleased that you enjoyed our course but we apologize that the pace of play was slow. Our staff does their best to keep everyone moving at a goof pace but we appreciate your feedback. We hope to have you back again soon in the future!
From the Outside Looking In
Booked this course because of reviews and the fact that it was quite a few years since I'd been there. Good rate from GN and the check-in was super easy. Called a day ahead to make sure course conditions were good and no tournaments were scheduled (remember this fact). Got to first tee on a beautiful day and was greeted by at least 6 groups waiting to tee off. It was 5 mins before my tee time. Being a single I sort of asked if I could meet my tee time but was told this was a league and they were to go out first. Anyhow, I took a ride to see if I could fit in somewhere to get in a reasonable round in some kind of reasonable time. I didn't get an open hole until # 13 and then it was only open for one hole. I observed 2 leagues going on ( an older mens league & womens league). Now I am a senior myself so I don't judge people's play but most holes had 2-3 groups waiting on shots. Did come across a stray 2-some waiting around #12 who invited me to join them. I asked the waiting time and they said it was around 15-20 mins a hole. Needless to say I declined.
The course looked in great shape and having a chance to observe every hole I couldn't believe that I wasn't destined to play this beautiful course. An 1:45 ride was for nothing. I informed Golf Now who did their usual fantastic job of taking care of my situation BUT this comes right down on the management of this facility. When I asked about tournaments they should have informed me that there were 2 leagues scheduled around my time and it would be a long day. One person told me they usually average around 5 hrs a round. C'on!!! I'm sure I'll swallow my pride and head back eventually but I'll ask a 1,000 questions first. Buyer Beware!
Awesome! We're pleased that you enjoyed our course and that you found us to be a good value. We apologize that the pace of play was slow and we appreciate your review. We hope to have you back again soon in the future!

Awesome! We're pleased that you enjoyed our course and the challenge it presented. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to have you back again soon for your next round!
High school tournament scheduled!
Why didn’t golf now know about this tournament?! We and several others shouldn’t have been granted tee times!! 2 of us gave up after 15 holes and 5 and a half hours. I request a refund please.
Good track, but very slow pace – due to a fivesome (!?)
Played as twosome and it took us over 4 ½ h as there was a fivesome and a foursome in front of us. A fivesome has not to be permitted to go out there, especially not on a Saturday! But no one cares at all… The course is in good condition, somewhat challenging and very well playable. Greens are very good and rather fast. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers need some attention. But overall a nice course for a reasonable fee.
Great course for the money
Play is slow, but this is the best track for your money in North Orlando
Can’t believe I never played this course before!!
Everything about this place was great for me. Wasn’t very far away. Price was better than great. And the condition of the course was almost perfect. And, lucky for me, Monday’s was wide open out there for me to relax and enjoy my round.
Top course
Played this course in 2016 was very good so we gave it another try and we weren't disappointed well worth playing
Fun layout, good staff, nice greens
Debary is a good option if you are in NE Orlando. Greens and bunkers were good, fairways fine. Nice staff and pace of play on a Tuesday was great. Much more elevation change than I expected and some cool holes (9 is awesome). A little more OB surrounding the holes than I like, but it's only in play on really bad shots. Overall a nice experience and great value for ClubCorp members.
Good variety of holes.
The course was in good conditions. Greens were in good shape..
Very Nice Course
Front 9 very slow pace needed to skip a couple holes eventually. . Course conditions excellent despite lots of afternoon rain. Overall one of the best courses for the money in the northeast of Orlando area. Fun course! Both challenging for the better players and attractive to beginners.
Slow
Over 5 hours to play a round. There was a group of 6 in front of us that held us up all day. Even a call to the pro shop didn’t speed anything up or get us past them.
Hidden Gem
I don't typically write reviews, but this course deserves the extra attention. It's a hidden Gem in central Florida, I've played over 20 courses this year alone and I fell in love with Debarry CC. Greens roll fast and true, tons of hills and undulation, super green and wide fairways, decently forgiving course. Bunkers could use some attention, but I wasn't in them very much ;)
