Great Day At Stonebridge Photo submitted by Brian9256097 on 04/17/2018
Quaint golf course.
Visiting from New York this golf course is nice. The staff was also very nice and welcoming .
Don't waste your time and money
This course is not what it looks like in the pictures online. The greens were some the slowest that I have ever putted on. The bunkers were something that you could not play out of with many having standing water. The rough had not been mowed so it was also very difficult to find balls hit slightly offline. Overall not worth the time or money spent! The only reason why pace of play is average is because not very many people want to play a course in such dis-repair I guess.
Booked as a single and wasn't allowed my own cart becuase there was a possibility of running out with the number of interested calls. At the turn plenty of carts still avaialable. Had to go out and find two singles on the range without being introduced and have one of them meet me by my car to put my bag in the cart before starting. A little frustrating, but the course was in decent shape except for some patchy grass here and there, fairway bunkers are in pretty bad shape and tee box markers could use some upkeep but overall a decent round. Enjoyable layout.
Was a tad disappointed
This course is close to New Orleans while on vacation. That is the upside. Another upside is getting a good rate on Golfnow. After that, it is a disappointment. Conditions are avg at best. Tight! I wouldn't play it again
Average course
We golfed here on a Saturday. We had a lot of waiting between each hole. They were finishing up a tournament in front of ua amd had one later the same day. They were letting people out way too quickly. This was the first time ar this course for us but conditiona were not conducive to what we read on the reviews. Fairways were very bumpy and had a lot of weeds. Cart paths needed to be re-done. They had hige ruts and the concrete was lifting up in areas. We were told the course was under new management. I think this could be a better than average courae if management put some money into it.
Good round
Stonebridge is a great course for the price. Fairways and greens in good condition. Bunkers not so much.
Love playing here.
Free range balls
Nice course. Fairways are a little spotty in places, but definitely playable. Bunkers needed more sand in places. Staff was very nice. Great bonus to have free range balls. Very laid back atmosphere also a plus.
great course
Second time playing this course. Very nice well kept course. Free driving range a real plus. several holes are a real challenge. Will be back.
Rough Shape
Booked our Tee time through Golf Now. I now know why it was so cheap to play. The back 9 was closed, and the front 9 greens had recently been aerated sanded. The did we could play the executive 9 (that doubles as a foot golf course) but we elected to do the front twice.
@u000007988719 thanks for taking the time to review our facility. I apologize your experience with us was less than satisfactory. We will continue to use feedback like this to keep improving ourselves. Thanks again for the review.

Great value for the money
For me, this course is in the top three value-for-the-money here in New Orleans. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. The practice facilities are above average. My only complaint is that the driving range is limited to irons. It is, however, included in the cost of your round. The chipping area and putting area are well-kept and have enough variables to allow you to practice a large variety. The carts are maintained well, but the speed regulators are set a little slow for my tastes.
Course conditions are about what one would expect from a course in this price range that's open to the public. Fairways are well mowed and divots are kept filled. Green can be a little patchy sometimes. Bunkers are unfortunately a low point. Drainage is bad in the bunkers leading to about 30% having large pools of water. About 50% of those without water are filled with very rocky dirt. Not sand, dirt. But, for the price, I expected something to be off, and of all the things that outdoor be wrong, bunkers would be my preference. Shouldn't be hitting into them anyway.
The course has some varied elements, and is more challenging than most in the area at this price range. The views are pleasant, and I find I pull every club at least once a round.
All in all, I'd say it's worth a play. Or two... or five...

Stonebridge
Course was not in good shape. Bunkers were not raked and they were wet. Most had water and were muddy. It did rain earlier in the day and previous day. Course was not that wet. Greens were thin and had lots of Poa Annua and were bumpy. Maybe it was the time of year and the grass had not fully started to cover the greens. 3rd nine was not marked and was difficult to figure out the first time. Course overall was not in good condition and based on the high ratings was not what I expected. Reasonably priced for the condition.
