Red shirts.
The red shirt group sucks. Do notttttt get behind the red shirt group. If u do go home. They take 5 hours to finish a round and do not let u play through. They think they own the joint.
Not bad for the money.
Overall a pretty fun course. Lots of water. Good layout, although it tends to be crowded. I wouldn’t call it serene, but I guess that’s what happens when you play in the middle of the city. The greens were sprayed green, but not bad. Teeboxes nice. Fairways completely dried out and dead, but I guess it’s winter. Overall not a bad course for the price. Clubhouse and food is very good!
Enjoyed a day with friends
I really like the course. Challenging but fair and the course was in good condition except a couple of wet areas. The price was reasonable. Pace of play was good for a Saturday afternoon.
Great value
Fun track run by nice people. A challenge but a goo score can be had. Always enjoy coming out here.
customer service and rangers
need customer service improvements
the ranger stated no 5 players but i observed several teams if 5. BE FAIR
The course has great character.
Course was in excellent condition for a Muni. Enjoyed the undulation greens and lush fairways.
Always a nice experience...greens are good and this golf course is a challenge for good players yet very playable for beginners
Fun time
THe course is in good shape, staff is friendly, food is good.
Nice layout, friendly staff
Greens in good shape with better than average speed. Nice variety of holes. Not too long to walk. Water comes into play but not too severe. Very friendly staff with the nicest cart girl in town. Good test of golf. Not too close to town so easy to get to.
Excellent value course
Not many frills to this course but in good shape and the pace of play is generally fast, at least for early starts. The greens aren't very fast, but putt true. The greenskeeper knows what he is doing.
Not like the old days - and that's GOOD!
Most locals know this course by the name Pontchartrain golf course. This was my first time playing it since before Hurricane Katrina, and believe me it was nothing to talk about back then. Today, this is an entirely new course. The course is in excellent condition and the new clubhouse is outstanding, as well as the staff. And you can't beat the price. My guest and I played for $23 each, including the cart - which I booked here through Golf Advisor. This is the kind of quality public course New Orleans needed. I would have to rate the new South Course at City Park-Bayou Oaks a tad higher, but it's not $80 per golfer better. Considering the cost, I'll play this course (Bartholomew/Pontchartrain) over the new City Park South any day of the week.
Fun course in good shape, but...
The city has Bartholomew looking great these days. Would recommend it except for the half dozen kids on the 4th hole who took our ball off the fairway and threw it in the pond. They then proceeded to throw rocks at the single who was following us. New meaning to golfers assume all risks, I guess.
Big Easy golf
Lovely , tidy course . One of the few courses out there that you could walk. Really neat course , well groomed and cared for , Staff and course Marshals super friendly. It's a course that gives you a great day .
