Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Cobb’s
Solid layout and in very good shape. I’ll be back for sure
Really good course
Great staff, very accommodating! Practice green is perfect and driving range is great. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. Sand traps needed dragging and freshening up. Some new cart paths are partially in and a lot more are needed. Some areas are non-existent. Some small course areas need new dirt w/ grass or landscaping. Pace was great, done in 3 1/2 hours. Just enough water, good looking homes, great course for all levels. Electric Carts have ball and club cleaner.
Cobbs Glen
Course is in good condition but the fairways had been mowed and clumps of grass were all over the fairways. Bunkers could use a lot of work no sand in the ones I visited just hard dirt in them.
Horrible Pace
4 hr 45 min round on a Tues morning! No control of first tee and no rangers or attempt to keep things moving. Layout and price are OK, but hard to offset snail’s pace.
Nice greens, nice people
Played here several times Great value! The course is not easy and although the tees are a little Raggy the greens are nice and medium fast. Staff are very nice
Great Value
Probably the best in Anderson. Greens and fairways in great shape. Challenging. If bunker sand was better, would be a 5-star course. All around, great value and I will play again.
Great course
Greens are in great shape. Fairways are beautiful ( I only know from walking over them to get to my ball in the woods). Challenging layout esp if playing military golf most of the day. Would recommend!
Potential is there. Just needs a Little extra care and grooming. Greens were in great condition. If the rest of the course looked like the greens it would be phenomenal.
Cobbs Glen's is a complete course
I have been playing Cobbs Glenn regularly for many years. It's a challenging course but also it is a fair course. Your good shots are rewarded as should be and you rarely have a good shot taken from you with bad fairway sloping or high growth drainage area. On approach shots with thirteen of the greens it's important to understand pin position and stay below the pin. Four greens are multi-tier, and it important to tuck the ball tight but put uphill. Greens and fairways are maintained extremely fabulous. If you have never played Cobb's Glen then you owe it to yourself and your buddies to book a round today.. Great staff, great amenities, lend itself to a great experience. NL
Great Value on a Great Course
Greens were the best I’ve played in this area, and they were FAST! I struggled getting used to the speed, but I can’t blame the course for that.
We played for $15 + fees.
Good Community Course
Love this course. Play it several times a year. It's a little dry and rough looking. Not sure what's going on but it is still a great play for the money.
