Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Great course
I love walking 9 holes here after work. Staff is always friendly and the course is always in great shape.
Condition of the greens
I thought for this time of year the greens were in excellent conditions and so were the fairways
Decent course. Good value.
Friendly staff. Good carts. Decent shape course for the value. Good layout.
Nice. Members good course
Twice I've gotten there as a single and a regular foursome has let me go in front of them. Makes you want to come back. Course is very nice and greens are quick and in good shape. Cart paths will kill your back but it's definitely worth playing
Profanity by pro UNCALLED for
When I checked in PRO was VERY unproffesional. After 18 holes my wife went to return cart and had a conversation with the PRO. First time she had met the PRO and he used profanity. GD. WE HAVE PLAYED 200+ rounds via GolfNow this year and have NEVER experiened anything like this. In summary this was appaling. This was a first time in 40+ years of playing golf.
Challenging but fun
The overall condition of the course was great. The greens were in great shape but extremely fast. The only downside was the ruff. If you hit a ball into the ruff, don't spend any time looking for it. Even if you watch exactly where the ball lands, the ruff is so tall and thick you will never find it. Although this was my first time here, it will not be my last. Overall the course was fun but very challenging.
Fast green
We had a great time in the afteronn. The greens are master fast!!!, which made it more fun to play here. There were a couple of short holes that My friend Song hit a driver almost to the green. Nice staffs and will come play again for sure.
Good Track
I have played Cobb's Glen several times. I have a foursome that rotates several local courses through our playing schedule. We enjoy our time at Cobb's Glen. Staff is always great. Though open seven days the maintenance crew respects your playing time doing their best to be invisible. Greens are top notch. fairways and rough are evenly cut. Sand traps are a bit heavy and do not drain well after a good rain. Drainage is my only concern. Following a heavy rain it takes Cobb's Glen longer than acceptable to drain. It's not a big concern as the overall quality is very good. Like I said, we keepi this one in our rotation and enjoy playing there.
Just nice
Nice layout. Nice course. Just really nice overall
This course is a good test for any golfer
Good test of golf for any golfer. The course is tough but fair.
