Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Good variety of holes in an open course
Greens were in great shape. Good variety of holes throughout the course. Very open fairways. A lot of improvements had been made since the last time I played there.
My wife's favorite course
Great little course with reachable par fives and good greens. We've been playing this course for years and never get tired of it. It's a fun design with plenty of challenges. My wife loves the orange tees which puts her tee shots within a few yards of mine (when mine don't find the woods). It's forgiving when you miss as well. I'm very pleased to see the recent beautification projects on certain holes. It's really all that's needed to make this course shine like the gem we already know it to be.
Great layout
found the course to be in very good condition. Really enjoyed to layout and would say that it is a very fair and enjoyable course to play.
Cobb glen
This is not 31/2 should be rated 4 1/2. Greens were very nice.
My Group Love this course
Course in good condition..Need to work ball left and right off tee boxes...Scant /difficult to find yardage markers so bring your own.
Tee boxes and greens in really good shape..
Some elevation changes, water, undulating greens...
Biggest downside was bunkers like concrete or little sand in the bunkers. Our group decided to pick up any balls landing in the bunkers.
Great Course!
Great conditions. Great layout. Played by myself and was done in 3 1/2 hours so the pace was good. Few issues I had were there were no signs for the clubhouse. I drove up and down the street not knowing where the clubhouse was. There should be signs around the place. Wasn't quite sure where the golf shop was, where the range, 1st tee and 10th tee. I did ask but it would be nice if there were signs up. The sand traps were very wet.. It would be nice if they put down some new sand or raked them the day after a storm. Overall great place and would recommend.
Excellent deal
Cobb's Glen is a great bargain. The different tees make it playable for all skill levels. The course has a variety of holes ranging from easy to difficult. Make sure you add Cobb's Glen to your must play list.'
Great Value!!!
For the price, earlsome course!!! Fast greens = fun
This course has a nice layout
The course was in good shape however the bunkers were unplayable due to excessive rains in recent days and not maintained. The sand quality is poor with stones mixed in.
Great golfing
Went with 2 neighbors who has never played the course. I has played it once in a work golf outing. Weather was great. Teed off around 8a m. Course was in very good shape. Greens were quick. Course layout is fair offering some risk reward holes. Will definitely play again.
Only complaint was yardage markings on course. Tees get moved often and om par 3's was unsure of yardage.
Nice round on a pleasant course
Enjoyed the day, course was well maintained, some tees (9) need some work, greens were in good shape.
The Bones Of A Once-Great Golf Course
This was winter golf, so the grass was dormant. Still, the fairways were in decent shape. The cold temps made it play even longer than it normally is. The greens are large, and, though also dormant, in pretty good shape. They putted pretty true, and were also pretty fast. The sand traps don't even look like sand, and because of a heavy rain three days earlier they had a lot of water in some of them. Since we were playing just a friendly round, we decided there weren't any traps on the course and took free drops no closer. The cart paths are concrete and are buckling from roots and weather I suppose. The carts are clunky gas-powered models, but have a ball/club head washer mounted on them. The staff we interacted with were very pleasant. The practice/warm-up facilities are very adequate.
Very nice course
Greens were good, fairways were perfect, could easily play it down with no problem. The only criticism I have with Cobb's Glen is the condition of the bunkers, not very good but the object is to avoid them anyway. Overall, great course in very nice condition. I'd highly recommend it if you can get a Golf Now "hot deal"
Nice enough course, average value.
Facilities are nice enough, cart paths are in rough shape but not a big deal.
Condition of grass is good, fairways are nice, but the greens can be rough at times.
A fun course to play with sever different layout types, but nothing special. Value for money is average, possibly slightly expensive for what it is. But here in Anderson, there is not much else.
The course is in good condition
I have played this course and others with friends and I can say not one has complained about it like the other courses.
Cobbs Glenn
Pace of play was good, course was wet due to major rain storm. Only really wet in some places. Club house could use some updates(looks like its from the 1980's). Staff was very friendly, carts were some of the nicest around the area and there gas powered.Greens were sloooow. .....had recently been aerated and sanded but other than that the course was really nice. Will come back again and play.
good course
Unfortunately front nine greens were being punched unbeknownst to last minute golf back nine was in good condition though one of my favorite courses in the area.
Good track
Greens had just been punched. Tees and fairways in great shape.
Great course
You will not be sorry you booked this course. Been playing here off and on for 30 years. ..always a joy!
Nice fairways, rough greens
Course had beautiful lush fairways. Greens, however, were very disappointing. Bumpy with lots of dead spots. Lots of members must not repair ball marks either. I found myself repairing 6-7 per hole that were easily visible to other golfers. Bunkers were also in less than desirable condition.
Staff was friendly and pace of play was acceptable.
For me, I would find it difficult to score well on a course with greens in this condition.
