Boulder Oaks Golf Club

Most fairways are pretty fair, and very playable without too many dirt areas. Greens are in pretty decent condition no problem here. My problem is the $20 charge for the 1950's golf carts too much $$$ and high!!! No windshield, bench seats are ripped, no usb, no gps and the wheels feel like they're about to come off. I think $10 for the cart is very reasonable. Some tee boxes are too low to pick targets, a bit of a challenge.

Lots of quality maintenance going on, the greens were better than ever. Best round in six months!

Course condition is very good as long as you are on the fairways and the greens. The rough is under repair (not playable) on 2 holes and more like dirt and weeds on many holes. The bunkers are hardly playable. They know about it and plan to redo them entirely in the near future But again, the greens are entirely redone and super smooth and the fairways soft in the vast majority. The layout is challenging for shorter game. If your pride is to show your 400yard drive going on the wrong fairway, don't play here, you'll lose many balls. Water, boulders, steep hills up and down make a challenging and fun course. The bar/restaurant is on the nice side and the staff as been the most friendly I've seen recently in South Cal. The value is great. I'll be back there really soon!!

Great course to work on your short game. I'm looking forward to playing again soon. The people there were really nice and helpful.

a lot of improvements have been made as far as clearing out a bunch of the trees that were dead, or overgrown. Only complaint is that they don't really keep track of tee times, pretty much once you get your cart its a mad dash to hole 1. Course gets stacked up, lots of amateurs playing multiple balls off the tee and dropping 2,3rd shots off the tee when losing one which is easy to do here.

Course was pretty great! Previous reviews had me worried, but they were wrong. Fairways were good, greens were fine, course is nice and narrow. It’s like an outdoor golfing retreat.

It feels like the owners gave up on this course. We didn't see a rake in any of the bunkers and at the turn we asked the concession guy. His response was if there is no rake then take a drop. We didn't see any on the back nine either. This used to be a nice course but not anymore.

They spent all that money years ago and it looked beautiful, but each and every time I play here the weeds are getting bigger. They blocked multiple cart paths, our cart was literally falling apart, the support bars that hold the roof on were not attached to anything, sitting freely in their hole. Sand traps did not appear to be raked for a month or two. Fairways had not been mowed in weeks. Compared to previous outing here, this was very disappointing.

Fairways need much water.

Tee boxes were terrible though a grounds keeper was replacing one with new sod. Unconditional layout.

Really liked this course. Really like the layout. Back tees a real challenge and the front tees great for novices like me. Like that they don’t start people so close together that it’s no fun. Had plenty of room behind us and in front. Makes for a more relaxing round. Also, they didn’t pair our twosome with another random group. I REALLY appreciate that. Fairways were a little rough but the greens were pretty nice and the tee boxes as well. I had a good game today too, so I guess that helps.
