Boulder Oaks Golf Club

I had the same experience and the person I was paired with had to leave early so I had to drive him back to his car.

Thank you for coming out and playing Boulder Oaks Golf Club in Escondido. The Meadow Lake CC started its renovation about two years and reopened last year under the new name. The renovation was a program for turf reduction to reduce water usage. This time of year most, if not all, golf course go through their bi-annual course maintenance. We ever-seed the fairways and tee boxes and aerate and top-dress the greens with sand. These conditions could last anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on weather. If all goes well, the course will be in spectacular shape by the end of October. Please come by and give Boulder Oaks Golf club another try.

The old course was Meadowlake not Meadowview and it utilized much more ground. Granted, this course needs some modification and work but it is rather new. Give it some time. And at $25.00 you can hardly complain

First I wanted to thank you for this very important review. During this time of the year all golf courses go through their course maintenance; we are in the prepping stage as we get ready for over seeding and aeration. Many Bermuda-grass courses go brown and are overseeded with ryegrass(a cool season grass), where overseeding is a six-week process that takes place this time of year. Conditions change

2-3 weeks before overseeding, we dry out the Bermuda, creating firmer and faster conditions. Now that Bermuda has gone dormant, we start to overseed. After the overseeding, the ryegrass then gets drenched with water. The greens will be punched and top dressed with sand. Approximately 2 weeks after the course maintenance, the course will have great tee boxes, plush fairways and true rolling greens. We anticipate these conditions starting October 20, 2017 and we hope to see you then.

The next time time you come and play the yardage markers will be completed and freshly painted so they are visible. We want to thank you for playing Boulder Oaks Golf Club and providing important feedback regarding the course. with the weather we have been having, the grass is been growing so quickly. We are doing our best to keep up with cutting and sweeping/blowing the fairways. As far as the greens, we are preparing for course maintenance in the coming weeks. We will be aerating the greens and doing a light over seeding of the fairways and roughs. We expect after the maintenance the course will be impeccable shape with greens rolling 9.5-10 on the stimp meter.

Thank you for your comments. We understand how you feel with the turf reduction, unfortunately with southern california drought, we are doing all we can to help save water. We are doing our best efforts to have the best tee boxes, fairways and greens On our project "to-do" list is to grade all cart paths and natural areas do to the heavy rains in early 2017. And with the new fleet of cart, driving carts paths have been much improved. We hope to see again.
