Great shape really liked the over seeding keep up the good work
Fun but frustrating.
Great day to play, golf course played good.
Greens were in good shape about 75% but hard. Supposed to get a golf cart but they ran out, ended up having to use a push cart.
Tucson Muni
A muni course is a muni course. This one is not for beginners. Best sand pits in city though.

Course in good shape for time of year. Greens were lightning fast, but rolled very true! Fairways were good. Site said 1 1/2 hour frost delay, but only about 30 - 40 mins. Back nine was very slow! All in all great day...playing golf on Christmas Eve in near 70 degree weather...can't beat it!
A lot slower play than normal
Between delayed start and shortage of carts, the play was slow, but the course is in good shape.
Golf pass and Golf Course Review
First, let me rate Golf Pass and next the El Rio Course:
Golf Pass gets about 5/10 stars. Using the website from a cell phone was my issue. Multiple attempts to make a tee time and finally the message didn’t say I have to try another time slot. Eventually I got a time for a threesome (I supposed) but when the transaction completed it said I had successfully booked for a single. I tried to cancel, or add two more players unsuccessfully. I ended up grabbing another slot eventually booking the threesome but no success in the cancellation. Now I have to contend with a refund.
The course in my humble opinion was adequate. I wasn’t expecting a PGA experience and I got a better than average muni experience. Played from the blue tees and it offered plenty of variety for our group. Not sure the booking fee plus a midday rate was worth the price but it was competitive to other courses in the area. I was also amazed there was food and drink service in December on a weekday; that was good. 6.5/10 stars.

El Rio
Probably one of the most under rated golf courses in Tucson area. I've played it multiple times now in last 2yrs. Some of best sand traps around. "Some other courses could take a lesson on how a sand trap be."
I've seen complaints about their cart paths in past reviews. I don't come to a course to play their cart paths. It's an older course but well taken care of. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in good shape.

Les verts rapides sont très bien entretenus. Beau layout.
The course played pretty fast.
The main problem was the golf cart paths which were mostly dirt or mud. This made it harder getting around especially if your ball landed in the mud. Having paved golf cart paths would have been much better!
Bang for your Buck
Justin at the clubhouse is awesome. He took down my name and number due to lost range finder. Same day he called me and I was able to recover range finder. Fun course for all levels.
