Great Value - Fun Course
It’s hard to find decent courses anymore for under $50, but I found one! Fun layout and straightforward design. A course that makes you think a bit off of the tee box. Greens aren’t in great shape, but for the time of year, expected. Friendly staff also made for a great experience.
Good Value
Solid course. In good shape. Friendly staff and patrons. Overall good time!
The pace of play was terrible. We had nearly a five hour round. Fix the bathroom
Challenging desert course
Love this course. The course itself is in really good condition, however, the bathroom on the course is disgusting 🫣
I like the kindness of the stats of the golf course.
Dry weather taking its toll
Fred Enke is my favorite of the budget courses in tucson. 3 months ago, it was looking the best I’ve ever seen it, recently the heat has started to do what the AZ heat does. Course is beginning to dry out a bit and the conditions are declining. Still very playable but conditions are at 6/10 compared to 9/10 just a few months ago. Still a great value for the price. Most interesting layout of any city course.
The course is fine, but it needs attention to details. The in course men’s room hasn’t been fixed in six months
First time playing, disappointed.
Cart paths were rough and uneven. Restrooms on the course were very dirty. No marshals. Pace of play was very slow for a Monday. Definitely not worth the fee. It could be a great course if they had the staff to take care of it. Great layout, nice starter, lots of interesting wildlife. Wish they could improve it.
Great city owned course
Great friendly staff, Starter gave me some tips and info since it was my first time there.
Greens and tee boxes are in good shape, a couple of tee boxes were hard in places. Bunkers pretty hard but no different than most other courses in southern Az.. Some challenging holes. Nice city owned course.
Some of the gravel part of the cart paths are pretty bumpy. Beverage cart was around 3 times during round.
Only issue is on the back 9 caught up to a single golfer on the course with spouse and 2 young sons in 2 carts. Around the 13th hole the adults got into one cart and started drinking while the 7 or 8 yr old (est.) was driving the other smaller child in the other cart. They almost drove over the green on 16. One adult finally start driving the other cart when they got to 17 (ie close to the clubhouse). A Marshall on course could have stopped this but none out on a Monday afternoon. Otherwise good experience and Ill be back
Dessert Golf 🙂
Have played a number of courses in Tucson area and i would recommend this course
True dessert golf, greens in excellent condition
Enjoyed course layout
Price was good, was not busy in the afternoon and did not have to wait
Municipal Gem
Greens were impeccable and the beverage cart was fully stocked. Great day.
