Fred Enke Golf Course

Hadn't played here in years due to terrible maintenance...now it is a beauty. An interesting track on rolling dunes with lots of elevation changes. Over seed done perfectly and fairways and greens outstanding.
Tees could use a laser level and trash cans on the back nine were overflowing. Overall great value and brisk pace of play. Good job OB Golf!

The course was in great shape..staff were great and the price was right...

Fred Enke used to be my last resort option for golf, especially on the East side of Tucson. Had heard the course was under new management and saved from closure. I gave it a try yesterday and it was fantastic. This course is now on my regular rotation. Keep it up!! Beer cart came through regularly. Great day of golf.

The course has greatly improved, the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The carts were much better, the cart party's had some improvements but could use more. Overall enjoyed our day and was impressed with the repairs.

The course was being prepped for over seeding so some areas(tee boxes, sand traps, etc.) were not in good or prime condition. Play was light, no hold-ups. This was the first time we played this course under the new management.

My wife and I have golfed at Enke numerous times. This was the best shape we have found it. It is evident that time and money has been invested to make Enke a must course to play for locals....and snowbirds. We shall return.....

I have played Fred Enke several times in the past. Always an interesting course but not always good shape. New management at Tucson City courses have done a great job with this course. Fairways super--ball sits up on firm grass, greens good, traps OK, fringes very good, rough much better now with long grass rather than ugly hardpan where you can get a horrible lie or ball can bounce anywhere A super bargain for the $..

I have not played here in a couple of years. I found the course to be in very good shape. The fairways were green and well maintained. Greens we very good, not great. I got a great deal on Golfnow, so I was very pleased and will definitely play again.

Had a fun round, hot so course was fairly empty. Good pace.

The course plays well, OB really has made some nice changes I like the pro shop area and snacks are.... well its good for where you're playing. I like and will continue to play it often.

The course is in much improved condition over every other summer I have played it. Grass is much more green and lush. Traps are better maintained and have new rakes in them. Greens were recently punched, but have been rolling very well prior to that. Best conditioned city course I have played this year.

The course is really improving. The grass has never been greener and a lot of undergrowth has been removed. I also heard that they are transforming the old pro shop into a restaurant. Can't wait to see how the rest of the improvements unfold.

Course was in great shape(greens and fairways)......as good or better than other city courses. Played the blue tees so the course was a bit challenging. My buddies think this is a tough course, but I love this desert course, Definately worth the money.

Course in better sharp then what i expected. Fairways in good condition greens are coming along.
The only complaint carts are in bad shap and need to be worked on.

The course needs more water on the fairways, greens pretty ruff, greens not in good shape, no consistent speed. The car paths, the worse I have ridden on, I had kidney after the round.

Fred Enke is on its way back to becoming a great place to play. I've been playing there since I was 10 years old and it's in the best shape I've seen it in a very long time. The greens are so much better and the fairways were actually a little bit moist with grass. Not being over critical, it has been in such bad shape for the last couple of years, it was not worth the money. They are also clearing out some of the areas around the landing areas which will make it a little more forgiving. Go play it. It's a good course. Keep up the good work.

It's a great course for the price. Can be challenging depending on where the pins are located. I golf here all the time!

While this course is definitly a challenge, it's tee boxes, fairways, and overall condition are definitly the weakest point of what is a very challenging layout. If you have any length, play from the tips. You will have to cut a few too many corners if u don't.

They are working hard on improving this course. Enjoyed the front 9 more than the back.
