Watch out for maintenance workers
Great clubhouse staff and starters as always. Maintenance workers stayed on the fairway while we teed off with backs turned to us. Ball landed right of a maintenance gator and the guy just looked at me and kept walking and ignored my voice and my arm gestures with headphones in. Proceeded to weed wack the green side bunker while we chip and putt. Next hole when we got to the tee box they turned every sprinkler on the fairway and just stood there watching us waiting for us to hit. Of course we just stood there waiting for the water to stop but they didn’t turn it off. Whole time the sprinklers are on another maintenance worker was joy riding the gator over the sprinklers with the tire. A few holes later on a par 3 another worker is laying on the fairway where we could hit him and just didnt move. Again the clubhouse staff is awesome.
Great track
This course is a treasure. If you’re a beginner, it’s wide open - you won’t lose a lot of balls. Great place to stay in play if you’re not hitting fairways. Very nice short game practice area. The staff are always friendly and fun.
City course
Tucson does not provide the same quality and services to all their courses. They let this one slide and never let the public know when they do maintenance like punching the greens and still charging an overpriced green fee
Great municipal course
Course was in great shape, green fees reasonable, staff friendly, what else do you want?
The facility needs help
We had difficulty determining where the next hole was on several holes. We actually played to the wrong green on #11. Signage would help a lot for those not familiar with the course. The fairways and greens were in OK condition.
Nice layout
Nice course layout. Long holes face into the prevailing wind. Water hazards are in play. Length and accuracy are required.
Conditions were not perfect, but reasonable. Greens were thin, consistent, and true.
Working drinking fountains and ball washers would be nice
