Avila Beach Golf Resort

I play this course every time I’m in town, it’ s a great place to play. Unfortunately, golfers etiquette is left in the parking lot. Golf tees are left on the tee boxes, bunkers are not graded once used; why provide a rake? And the mens club, apparently have a strong investment in this course, totally rude, didn’t realize this was their private course.

My next outing, will be on a day their not controlling the course. I will not let a few golfers keep me away.

Very CHALLENGING course. Definitely worth your time, water throughout the course. Hope to play it again to lower my score. LOL

Great layout and beautiful views. If they maintain the course properly, this could be one the best courses in the area.

The course is decent, as a public course it’s not it great condition. But not terrible. The pace of play is extremely slow which can be frustrating. Overall I would probably recommend it just cause it’s a simple fun course with a few very good golf holes which some not so good ones smashed inbetween to make the course fit.

Good deal on Golfnow, total price around $40 bucks with cart.

Tee time at 12:40, finished in 4 hours.

Greens were fast.

Course was not in good condition but the greens were really in good shape. They have had a lot of rain to be fair

Will never be coming back to this place again. Tried to bring my 8 year old son with me to hopefully get a love for the game. The older gentleman at the front desk told me that there were no spectators. NO EXCEPTIONS. Repeatedly shook the paper in my face after me asking when they put that into place. My round had been paid for online. He wanted me to pay full price ($67) for my son to watch. Then rent clubs for him for another $30. So I spent an extra $100 for my son to sit in my cart next to me the whole time. The gentleman was insanely rude about it. Giving me attitude the whole time. The greens are awful. There’s about 4 different types of grass on the greens which will send your ball 3 different ways. I usually golf here about twice a month but I won’t be coming back anymore. Tried to email them and see if there was anything they could do before I wrote a review but didn’t get a reply.

I quirky course but my favorite in the Central Coast…. After grab a beer and enjoy the best deal in town right in n the beach away from the wind

Loved the course ! cant believe i've never played there before.

Only downfall is that Golf now doesn't make it very clear that the rate is for walking only???

Sad state of affairs. I quit after 16 holes because the pace of play was so slow. The sand traps have no sand and the fairways are bare in spots. The greens are rough and diseased. I am sad to see this course in its present condition.
