About
This course used to be considered a hidden gem. Now, Oak Valley Golf Course in Beaumont is an off-the-beaten-path known reasonable joy. Stopping on the way from Los Angeles to Palm Springs for a golf detour is no fool's play. Not with the fast greens, dramatic elevation changes and swerving fairways available at Oak Valley in Beaumont.
A Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley design, Oak Valley is probably best known for greens that are anything but desert typical. Speed is the name of the game here, with a tap sometimes too much on a downhill putt.
Recognition does not travel that quickly. It took a decade for Oak Valley to get a four star rating from Golf Digest. Once it did, Beaumont suddenly became a golf stopping spot on the Palm Springs express. Now, you're considered a smart golfer if you linger on the way to Palm Springs.
"It's a nice getaway from the crowds in the desert, as well as some of the other, more populated golf areas," head pro Scott Arnold said. "It's almost like being in the country. No houses line the fairways. Each hole is different. And because of the way it's laid out, you often can't even see another hole from the one you're playing."

Golfer Reviews
Not worth the price
Decent course a little on the pricey side especially considering there are zero amenities no cart service and even the restaurant was closed. Course was well maintained
Nice Course
My hubby and I were traveling through this area, and thought we would golf somewhere...and this was it! The price was right, but when we got there the Proshop was locked tight so we thought we were out of luck.
They figured out how to keep things going even with a lack of staff, and we checked in and paid where you pick up carts. Easy, I say!
The only issue was the pace of play...there were two men in front of us, and it was pretty clear that one was a pretty new player. Oh well, I suppose we could have joined them, but we chose not to, and we waited on every single hole.
We were on vacation, so I chose not to let that bother me, and I really enjoyed the course, the layout, the condition is was in, and the views! I had a really good round, and we will be back again!
one of my favorite's
Love to play this course always enjoy this course from the staff to the layout always have a fun challenging day of golf look forward to teeing up here every time, nothing but good times playing golf here!!
My home course
Bring many extra golf balls, you'll never find it once it finds the rough.. and I mean, on every hole.. but I still play it every week, and spend more on golf balls than green fees 🙂
Management/Carts
What the heck is going on here; carts breaking down right a d left; players including myself & wife unable to finish round due to waiting for cart exchange/lack of daylight/ slowed-up play; lack of staff to deliver carts, and no refunds or comps offered for 13-14 hole rounds...no management on hand...ridiculous!!!
Great track
Pleasant course! Driving range/putting green were nice. Fairways good, greens great, bunkers ok, tee boxes good. Fun elevation change on a few holes. Shot a 94 from the tips and that was with playing the last 2 holes shooting in almost dark conditions. Sun had set but the die hard in me said get out the headlamp and finish. Actually got par on 18. Will be back to play again soon. Great staff as well. Thank you Oak Valley
Golf Carts
Whole fleet is in disrepair and breaking down; constantly dying on the course leading to fouling up pace of play for everyone...plus lack of help from from cart barn/mgmt to relieve this situation.
pretty nice round
course in decent shape....rough is high, can be difficult to find balls...greens are pretty nice...can't figure out ownership?...don't appear to be spending a lot of money ...this property has great potential and always has
Over-all
Course is coming along very nicely after greens airation and heavy watering of greenside roughs; finally getting mowed. Greens 95% back; fairways are spectacular!
Always a fun place to play
We always stop to play here the course layout is interesting with a real variety of holes. The greens 🥬 here are excellent and normally very fast but a little slow now as they have just reopened from reseeding this course is challenging 😥 and fun to play not a plush country club but a must play if your in the Palm Springs area
Always a fun course to play
Oak Valley is a pleasure to play not overly difficult but the greens can be some of the fastest in the valley driving range available to warm up at not that busy this time of year but this is a course you shouldn’t miss as it is just a fun place to play 👍😃
