About
This course used to be considered a hidden gem. Now, Oak Valley Golf Course in Beaumont is an off-the-beaten-path known reasonable joy. Stopping on the way from Los Angeles to Palm Springs for a golf detour is no fool's play. Not with the fast greens, dramatic elevation changes and swerving fairways available at Oak Valley in Beaumont.
A Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley design, Oak Valley is probably best known for greens that are anything but desert typical. Speed is the name of the game here, with a tap sometimes too much on a downhill putt.
Recognition does not travel that quickly. It took a decade for Oak Valley to get a four star rating from Golf Digest. Once it did, Beaumont suddenly became a golf stopping spot on the Palm Springs express. Now, you're considered a smart golfer if you linger on the way to Palm Springs.
"It's a nice getaway from the crowds in the desert, as well as some of the other, more populated golf areas," head pro Scott Arnold said. "It's almost like being in the country. No houses line the fairways. Each hole is different. And because of the way it's laid out, you often can't even see another hole from the one you're playing."

Golfer Reviews
Nice layout. Course needs some TLC
First time playing here. Really liked the overall layout but the fairway need a lot of work. Too many dirt patches, gopher holes and bare patches. Could be a great course if it was better cared for.
Great course to golf if you like cow pastures
Terrible, terrible, terrible. A cow pasture. I played if last year and it was ok. Now it looks abandoned. Don't waste your money. You've been warned.
STAY AWAY!!!!
This is now a cow pasture. I played it last year. It was a little shabby then but this year it looks abandon. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. It is sad how the owners have let this beautiful piece of golf property erode..
Pretty rough
Greens were in great condition, everything else wasn’t. Fairways were patchy, tee boxes were not good shape.
Winds were howling so kept alot of people away probably but that didn’t affect my review. Played it years ago when it was in better shape.
I had first time but we had frost delay. Course got me out first at 7:30 . Finished front in hour and a half.
Course employee that happened to be playing back round checked with me as I played 10th hole. He was polio and nice but should have known what was going on . Made my only double bogey of round on that hole. No big deal.
It’s a great course but range balls had no compression.
Should be better as a practice facility known course.
Overall a nice day
Oak Valley
Now this is a course that can be magnificent with it's rolling fairways and undulating greens. It is far more challenging than it's slope rsting. The problem is that it has not been maintained very well. There were so many dry patches on the fairways and it appears it is not being properly watered. I made a trip of nearly 50 miles and was disappointed. I don't think I will do that anymore this season..
This is one of my favorite courses out here
The pro shop was not open and there was not enough staff to help you.
Nice course!!
Course is very nice. Pace was good, however it was a rainy day. I'd recommend to others and will definitely play again
