Course Highlights
Oak Valley's layout consistently earns high praise for its variety of challenging holes featuring tight fairways, undulating greens, and scenic mountain views. Well-maintained tee boxes, fairways, and fast greens combine with friendly staff to deliver outstanding value in the Inland Empire.

This course used to be considered a hidden gem. Now, Oak Valley Golf Course in Beaumont is an off-the-beaten-path known reasonable joy. Stopping on the way from Los Angeles to Palm Springs for a golf detour is no fool's play. Not with the fast greens, dramatic elevation changes and swerving fairways available at Oak Valley in Beaumont.

A Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley design, Oak Valley is probably best known for greens that are anything but desert typical. Speed is the name of the game here, with a tap sometimes too much on a downhill putt.

Recognition does not travel that quickly. It took a decade for Oak Valley to get a four star rating from Golf Digest. Once it did, Beaumont suddenly became a golf stopping spot on the Palm Springs express. Now, you're considered a smart golfer if you linger on the way to Palm Springs.

"It's a nice getaway from the crowds in the desert, as well as some of the other, more populated golf areas," head pro Scott Arnold said. "It's almost like being in the country. No houses line the fairways. Each hole is different. And because of the way it's laid out, you often can't even see another hole from the one you're playing."

Skins Game with thw Boys

The course is in good condition. The greens are fast and very hard to read with a lot of double breaking putts. Course is pretty solf, so you are basically throwing darts. There is trouble everywhere except the fairways. Thick rough, plenty of sand/dirt bunkers, and visually challenging tee shots. The front 9 is pretty narrow with a few uphill table top greens. The back is a little more open. Great place to play a tough skins game with your crew.

Over-all

My one and ONLY complaint about Oak Valley is that presently and past: no real sand in any bunkers; wish they would fix this. Otherwise this is one of the best public course layouts in the Inland Empire; fairways and greens are in superb condition!

This Course is Great!

First off their driving range has been one of my favorites for a long time and yet this was my first time playing a round of 18. Staff are friendly. Course layout is great. I thought it would be kept in better condition around the fairways from all the hype I was around. Greens are great. I’ll be back here at least once a month.

Needs TLC

Fun layout, but general conditions were not good. Greens were the best part of the course. $40 course, if I paid full price, I would have been unhappy. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

This course is seriously lacking management of any kind. We hade a 5.5 hour rounds. Absolutely unacceptable for even the most mediocre course, much less for a course that charges $85 a round. Live this course layout but not sure if I will play here again due to mismanagement.

We called to ask for help and wee basically told “oops”! It’s suck because the course itself is a wonderful track.

This is becoming one of my favorite courses.

This was my second time playing this course and the negatives that I mentioned in my first review were all resolved.

This course is very challenging with some narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and slope..

I’ll planning on playing this course more often, definitely one of my favorites!

Great Course

The course itself and condition was really good. My only issue is there are lots of signs prohibiting outside beverages inclusive of water. We teed off at 120 pm and saw the cart girl on the first hole. It was around 95F, so hydration important. We made the turn and the cafe/vending area was closed early?

Need to make sure the afternoon tee times have availability of hydration or take down the signs prohibiting outside beverages.

I’ll be back but will have a cooler of bottled water in my truck just in case:)

Again great course and great value.
