Chula Vista Golf Course

This course is really a poor excuse for a golf course. Way too much grass missing and what there is is all weeds.

Have played at this course off and on over the years, but this is by far the worst condition I have ever seen

it. Please save your money,

How can you charge over 50 dollars when every single fairway is a dried up desert. This place needs a half a million dollars worth of new grass. Took 3 hours to play the front 9. I will never be coming back

There are multiple holes that are just mud pits. No grass what so ever. One of the worst courses in San Diego and definitely one of the worst values

This golf course was the absolute worst golf course I’ve ever played. And by far the worst in the San Diego area. Starting off, we had a tee time of 11:15 and didn’t tee off until 11:45 which I understand that it gets backed up sometimes so it wasn’t ideal but it was understandable. The course conditions were the worst I’ve ever seen. The fairways were nothing but dirt and rocks so it really didn’t matter where you hit the ball no matter what you were hitting out of dirt. The pace of play was atrocious as well, we finished 18 holes in 6 hours which is ridiculous. On average I can finish 18 holes walking in about 3.5-4 hours. When we talked to people on the course they were saying the starter was letting out 6-8 people at a time with backlogs of sometimes 20 people at one tee. There were zero marshals telling people they need to speed up or anything, I watched multiple people take 3-4 tee shots on one tee. Chula Vista should be ashamed of this golf course and shut it down for proper renovations instead of stealing people’s money who are unaware of the terrible conditions of the course. This is something I would expect from a golf course in the middle of the desert. I hope whoever reads this review is trusting of it, because I wasn’t trusting of the reviews I read when I should’ve been. Don’t waste your money or time here.

Played this course for the first time and would not recommend to anybody. We had a tee time of 11:14 and at 11:14 there were still 3 groups to tee off in front of us. Ended up teeing off 30 minutes late and the starter is pumping so many people onto the course we had a 5.5 hour round of golf.

The course conditions were terrible, fairways were 90% dirt and no matter where you hit the ball, you had a terrible lie. AVOID THIS COURSE.
